I'm not sure it makes a big difference, as long as the driver is positioned in the same place it would be if he was wearing them frontwards. The angle might be a little different (yes, acknowledging the housing too), but it's not like these are Stax Sigmas or anything.

[dusty]Maybe it doesn't know the words.[/dusty] No, seriously, it sounds like a ground loop (look up ground loop -- it's a common problem with common solutions). Well, to start with, buy one of these, and see if it's a simple miswired power outlet: Available at most hardware stores and larger department stores (Lowe's Home Depot Target etc.)

Best cheap tablet?

Yeah, considering it's basically a glorified magnifying glass, I'm thinking of getting her a -- wait for it -- non-glorified magnifying glass...and maybe one of those helping hands things. -
My Bloody Valentine, mbv Yeah, I don't care that I'm at work, I'm listening to this now. Also, only a couple minutes into the first song, and it sounds like they've picked up right where they left off.

I'd be hard pressed to accept a $200 5 bay NAS over a refund. 'cause you know they're not going to give you another MSRP $1500 NAS, right?
-
Not a problem.

Hey! Chat guy didn't offer me a comparable replacement item. That said, there is no comparable replacement item -- you search on $100-$300 NAsseses, and it just sort of stands out as being in a completely different league. I think I'll stick with my refund and be happy.

Yup, it was obviously drop shipped from "Magnell", and they probably told NewEgg that they have all this stock of DS508's, and could you blow them out at $200, etc. I don't blame NewEgg at all, but they really should just go ahead and refund the money -- some people bought a bunch of WD Reds or Greens or whatever to populate this, I'm just glad that I didn't get around to it between when I got the ship notice yesterday and when I came in and saw the box today. That's just softcore, dude.

Sorry, not the Magnell DS508, the Peerless-AV DS508. And yes, it is -- a wall mount with a computer holder. I am on chat with NewEgg right now.
-
Well, this might be a problem, I don't think I got the Synology DS508, I think I got a Magnell DS508, some sort of wall mount, which is what the packing list says.

Smelly of cats Free health care, and with that level of monitoring and prevention is awesome. I just spoke with Dan's investigator. Answer to a lot of questions was, "I don't know". I don't know how many children he has, their names, education level...wtf? Ask me what kind of headphones or beer he likes, that I can answer.

A couple Criterion Blu-Rays over at Amazon today. I received a large flat box today. WTF? Am I going to have to assemble it myself?

Alright, so my sister had the brilliant idea of getting my mother a cheap tablet and a magnifying app to assist with reading and spontaneously reading things like medicine labels. So what's the best cheap tablet for this? Kindle Fire? Anyone know of a magnifying app that deshakes? My mother does, indeed, have the tremors.

Happy Birthday, Al! (party favour noise)

I'm not sure how software can span air gaps, but I do understand that what I was talking about wasn't RAID. More RAID-ish. RAID-esque. Vaguely RAID-y. I just wrote a whole description and realized, you know, if this hasn't been done, it's a business idea, and I should probably protect it, first. So I deleted it. Need to investigate further.

Want one! Looks like it's from a movie called Spring Breakers -- I only stumbled upon it because of the soundtracker, and the title didn't strike me as his sort of film. That's Selena Gomez on the right. Cliff Martinez Scores

Blade Runner on vinyl. Wait, this hasn't happened already? Yes, that's right, no it hasn't.

It is if it's a straight-up (non-striping) mirror. And you actually (non-hot[swap]) pull the disks. And take them offsite. And if by mirror that means you can actually put them into another enclosure and be able to access the files (I.E. they are not using some sort of proprietary filesystem) But yeah yeah, I get it already.

(hours later) Oh, I get it. The Mary Onettes...the marionettes. @ self Me: Rock Candy Funk Party, We Want o Groove -- diggy-licious instrumental retro funk-rock, how can you not...? EDIT: Okay, that might be titled, We Want Grooove, since that's the name of one of the tracks. on deck: Harry Taussig, Fate is Only Twice

Dangblastit, the Nexus 10 doesn't have IR. I'll have to see if there's a wireless option. -
Disappointed face FTW! What was that software that could impose one face on all others? That pic is begging to be done. In fact, it doesn't even need to be done, I can see it in my brain. This magazine is spinning the Shocked Shart debacle (and if there were images, would it be Shopped Shocked?) rather cleverly. Not sure which I like more, the headline or the URL.

I'm not sure why you need to backup a raid if there's true duplication and hot-swappable. I mean, other than most computer administrator's need to have backup systems truly independent of the things they are backing up.

I want to go into a sports bar and turn all their channels to E! at once. Or perhaps Lifetime.
