Took apart my 15R (wanted to install 7200 hard drive and mSATA)...apparently the manual they directed me towards is for the 17R which has the mSATA in a different place (shocker)...so I'm beginning to think I won't be bringing a laptop with me. The VAIO just doesn't have the battery life, and I got an extra for the 15R. Maybe the tablet and phoneblet will be good enough.

I had someone like that once -- actually, a local professional outfit. I didn't need an explanation as to why they didn't get anything done -- they didn't get anything done because I demanded it back before they started. What I really wanted an explanation for was why it was taking so long for them to get started, and I got nothing but a shrug over the telephone for my troubles. When I came in to pick it up, I was so rage-y, that I didn't even talk to them, just demanded it back. It is my understanding that they had previously gone out of business. Twice -- once priorly, once after my business with them. I have to keep an eye on them, because they've changed their names several times.

Vicki -- you'll get over the self-recriminations -- much more rewarding to have a house paid off than forget to pay -- I've never had, but I've had a car paid off (in fact, I've always had my car paid off since the 80's), and even that is a pretty good feeling.
