  1. Shouldn't there be a way to adapt the Grado circuit to this?
  2. We're supposed to get ice and freezing rain.
  3. Went out to (my) breakfast/(their) lunch w/ mypasswordis and luvdunhill -- it was nice. There was some discussion of headphones or someshit? WTF? Dew et! Or actually, read the script first. Or find out who the other players are first. I guess it depends on whether or not you're actually interested in getting into Hollywood -- my sister does, so she takes pretty much every job she's offered (she does costuming). And yes, she has said many times that they always want to shoot twice as long, for twice as much as the budget and/or schedule they have, although I don't think she's ever uttered the words "...of biblical proportions", so it sounds like your experiences are worse than hers.
  4. Finished those four books within a week of each other. Also finished reading: Waking the Witch by Kelley Armstrong -- I wept openly. Packs a wallop of a punch towards the end. Couldn't put it down for the last 1/4 of the book or so.
  5. I lollered.
  6. I think you also have to embrace the punnage -- I liked it.
  7. I can't think of a reason to make me stand out. I was thinking, "I have two cats, so we could see how cat-proof that is", but I suspect even that wouldn't work out so well. So yes, put me in the jealous camp.
  8. I actually have an amp for that -- if I can find the power supply, we can try it out tomorrow. And I have an adapter, but it's at work, but if you remind me to bring it home (along with the Koss Pro 4AAAAAAAAAAAFonziAAAAAAAAA), you're welcome to look at both/either.
  9. Yeah, the Vaio isn't a gaming machine by any stretch of the imagination -- it's sort of like a crossover (and by that, I mean bicycle or car) -- it's at that awkward point between a full on SUV/mountain bike and a regular car/regular bicycle that make a lot of people wonder who the target market for that is, but I am that target market (ironically, I have both a crossover bike and a ... alright, my car isn't even a crossover, it's a crossover between a car and a crossover).
  10. Missing Elf Double Bock -- meh, not bad.
  11. Not all coolers in pre-built computers are shitty -- the one in my Vaio is pretty outstanding.
  12. Titles are earned, not bought.
  13. The lume on that one looks just outrageous. I never got my other Ocean7 before I stopped buying watches. Yes, I am more-or-less cured of said disease.
  14. By 'radiation', I presume you mean RF radiation? Because I don't see anything in there that merits nuclear radiation symbols, nor do I think the screening would help in that case. Are you going to the point of microwaves and photo-electric effect? Because if so, I want pitchers. You'll have to figure out a way to do that too without destroying the camera. Yes, I said that while resisting the temptation to include the words "arcy" and "sparky" in there.
  15. Katie Melua, The House "The One I Love is Gone" is particularly good.
  16. OMG, he's the greatest. I have a new hero. The Pez candy dispenser analogy was ...just sublime.
  17. Do you know all the bureaucratic bullshit that leads up to something like that being passed? Hell, there was probably a committee. And a rough draft (of the proposal). And a final draft. And someone needed to review it, before it even got to the non-flunky level, because the flunky is supposed to weed out the crap. So yes, @ you.
  18. The Bruery Autumn Maple -- damn, this is sweet. And a little bit sour. But I can handle a little bit. Sent from mah Droid
  19. That's weird, I thought that was one of them stereograms, so I tried to diverge my eyes, and I got the two moving creatures to superimpose on each other.
  20. I am netflixing that movie as soon as it becomes available.
  21. I have to admit, driving in to work today was a breeze. I could even slalom lanes, hypermiling-style*, without worry of impeding anyone else. Taking the shortest path on s-curves, so the closest thing one can get to a straight line, while remaining on the road. Effectively changing lanes to the innermost lane every time the road curves in the other direction. I don't really expect to save gas, I just do it because it keeps my mind on the road, and I don't do it if there's anyone else about.
  22. I don't drink conservative beer, and I am ex-military in the same way that people are ex-primordial soup.
  23. I'm not ordering one, but only because I don't has the money.
  24. ^ Sympathies, Nate -- I'd probably pass out.
