One down, 19 to go.- What did you do today?
Darts == throwing knives adjusted for the weight difference as well? There's also a joke in there about a really small shovel, too, but I'll leave that one alone.- Advice on which in-ear monitors to choose
It's true. Fuck! There.- What are you listening to Part Two
So fucking good, can't get past this track: Also, I pretty much fell in with her at 0:30:- TOSLINK (and maybe coax) switcher?
Uh...not necessarily, Hosa usually err on the cheap side. Though, yeah, I don't really think it matters. I seem to remember some items on one of the audiocubes sites (Audio Technica? Yamaha? Denon? don't remember), though, if you want to go all exotic. I'm fond of M-Audio. I have their Transit (or whatever its precursor was).- Advice on which in-ear monitors to choose
Nope, completely unnecessary. You only need monitors if you're doing live sound or recording, not with electric drums. Get any old thing. Etymotics, perhaps. ER-4...p? s? n? ...ER-4something.- What are you listening to Part Two
Barbara Morgenstern, Fan No. 2 -- moar teutonic-ness. Teutonicity. Medigs. She manages to have that bubbling grooviness that Kraftwerk managed on even their least groovy tracks. (And I Kraftwerk, so that is no mean feat.)- Laptop advice needed
There just isn't the room to put a full DVI connector on a laptop. Think of DVI as the larger USB connectors, and HDMI as the smaller USB connectors -- it really is just a matter of a cable. So once you put HDMI back into the picture, that opens up your choices enormously, dunnit?- not quite sure where the new member seciton is..
Neither. Not a good sign. Not just the fact that you don't want to use the search function, but the fact that you're whining about it out loud. (And no, I did not misspell "whinging".) There is no new member section, and we tend not to answer "entry level" questions such as these -- really, that's what Head-Fi is for. Plenty of people over there ready to suggest the Sony MDR-V6/-7506 or the Shure SRH840. Ah fahck. LOL @ "...bugger..."- What did you do today?
Mike, Al, and I (amongst others) change our avatars on a frequent basis. I actually didn't for the longest time (the death/watch one), but will probably start changing them again.- What are you listening to Part Two
Wasn't even aware of its existence, now I need to track it down. Me: Barbara Morgenstern, Enter the Partyzone - Plastikreport- slow forum
- Component video cables.
It was my understanding that digital cables and video cables were interchangeable, so you could look at those, too. I tend towards Hosa when I go cheap. That said, they're not usually bundled in threes, so, 'lose', there. Some other non-Monster options: NXG Zax ...I also seem to remember Best Buy carrying non-Monster brands of that kind of thing, but I'm not finding the kind of representation of their selection that I remember online, so you're probably going to have to go in. Yes, in December, right before Christmas, I'm suggesting to you to go into a Best Buy. If you really want to get even, you can suggest to me to go into a post office.- slow forum
That was one of my favorites from that as well.- What are you listening to Part Two
Gojira, From Mars to Sirius -- quite possibly the heaviest thing I listen to, short of Opeth. Bring it. It will be brought. Lead singer has a voice like flaking leather. And every once in a while, the guitarist will throw in this squeal into a riff that somehow always seems perfectly placed. Teutonic (despite being French).- What are you listening to Part Two
Everything Everything, Man Alive -- man, this is strangely enticing. Also, I like their whole "badly downloaded images" thing for the covers, it gives a consistent look to all of them: link- slow forum
Oh, that's John Waters -- I didn't know that. I thought it was to be captioned, "dude, you should watch where you're ... you just Sharpie- slow forum
No, I mean the picture with Bieber. I'm sure I've seen the other one in some kind of porn. "Camel Toe Jam", or something.- slow forum
I don't get the picture.- Post the last thing you bought!
I did not buy this wall of liquor, but if I ever were to take up drinking seriously, this would be one of the first places I'd go. Sorry for the crappy pic. - Kitty Talk
Hey, look at my harbls. HEY, LOOK AT MY HARBLS. OH, THAT'S RIGHT, YOU CAN'T!!!1! MARK MY WORDS, I WILL (eventually) MAKE YOU PAY FOR THAT! Maybe later, after you finish scratching me, which will be ... nevar! - slow forum
Yeah, I know, I found it (thanks for posting its name, BTW, Knucks), I was just convinced a long time ago that "just before Christmas" is a really bad time to be getting myself things like this (I am notoriously hard to shop for).- What are you reading now?
Oh, and PS (on topic) I'm reading Broken Angels right now, and one of the characters (Hand) just did a facepalm. Win!- What are you reading now?
You'd be surprised -- I've long since come to the conclusion that I don't understand what goes into the minds of many people (religion, hate, etc.). I would have thought that a lot of that would have gotten burned off long ago, but it seems to just keep the momentum without any sign of neither damping/friction/slowing down, nor of what force is keeping it in motion. - TOSLINK (and maybe coax) switcher?
