Last week's Community (Halloween episode) was particularly good. It's sort of Mama Mia meets zombies. With a little George Takei thrown in. And I mean, a little.

Was: noodle soup, but not Pho, and not Ramen. It was still pretty damn good. I think they said the noodles were rice vermicelli, but they seemed thicker than spaghetti...maybe I'm remembering wrong. The round cross-section lubed with broth made them well nigh impossible to handle with chopsticks. There was a whole lot of slurping going on.

Unholy carp, that was brilliant. And funny. Bonus lollers for using "pretty princess" in a sentence. Quite possibly perfect.

I didn't even think it'd be that soon.

I had this problem before -- I accidentally set my iPhone to "sync-only" rather than drag-n-drop. (I forget what the actual setting is called.) And when I say that I did it accidentally, I mean, I don't know what I did to do it, and it happened during an upgrade of iTunes, so I really think it's a side-effect, but the solution is the simple "set it back" one, as if you had done it yourself accidentally.

They have an upgrade to go from the JH13 to the JH13+JH3a, why wouldn't you just do that?

Yeah, I just wanted more coverage. Fair enough. But if the tents were categorized, and there was a tent for jazz (or insert name of your favorite genre here), and only 10% of the performers were jazz, and they had 10 pages of coverage, it would be like they devoted one page to four pics -- one of a jazz ensemble playing without identifying the ensemble, one of Quincy Jones backstage identifying Quincy Jones, and another of Steve Hoffman in the audience. And an ad.

Having not been there, I could care less how much socializing they performed while there -- my criticism was of the reporting, and my criticism stands, and if anything is amplified by the fact that they actually took the time to learn, but synopsized anything they learned to ...well, drivel. I mean, it's the equivalent of going to a concert, going backstage, interviewing the performer, and then posting a two or three pics of the band playing. Maybe I'll feel differently when the actual article comes out.

Drove down to Charlottesville, VA -- I may have picked the worst possible day to do this, apparently Obama was talking somewhere between here and there, took me over 4 friggin' hours. Drank. Read. Drove home. < 3 hours.
