I used a sony picturebook for a year. It's a compromise I'm ok with. I mostly use my macbook on my desk, where I could just as easily use my mini. For everything else, the netbook is perfect.

But the boondoggle expenditure is 1.7x the cost of the entire war.

I think the problem is that what they're doing is descriptive rather than predictive. And alarmist to generate funding. That worked really well, NOAA got $170 million for climate research in the obama boondoggle.

No, the previous base had 2 dual core, now it has 1 quad.

People said that about firewire too... but even if they do, there are LOTS of good keyboards out there. You're not limited to what apple sells. I like the smaller keyboards, honestly.

They're actually $300 less than the old ones.

They sell full sized and compact keyboards. And you can use any bluetooth or usb keyboard. Not sure what the problem is.

I should sell my usb drobo and mini, and try and pick up an older mac pro or xserv.

Don't get a firewire drobo for use with the duet. Heavy disk activity on the firewire bus gives the duet fits.

I prefer organic dissemination of information, rather than exposition. I want them to let the details about how and what the dollhouse is to come out over time.
