I enjoy art without knowing how to identify each hue exactly. That's what perfect pitch is, in color terms. You can analyze what's going on in a musical piece without being able to identify individual notes as you listen.

Perfect pitch is just the ability to identify what notes you're hearing. Whether you enjoy those notes is a separate issue.

I think what's going on is that the musicians you've liked in the past have stopped making good music, or your taste and theirs have diverged. There are several musicians that I like some of what they've done and not all. The flaming lips have changed drastically over time, but I still like everything they do. Gov't Mule, on the otherhand, went from a solid improvisational power trio to middle of the road "jam band", and lost me completely.

Having the ability to know which note you're hearing has nothing to do with the ability to enjoy music, or know if what you're hearing sounds like what it's supposed to.

Which class D amps have you used? Because I'd guess that most of the people here qualify as somewhat finicky about human voice quality, too...

There are lots of different kinds of class D. The NHT uses icepower modules. A few people on here have and like amps based on icepower modules...
