What are you drinking now, pt 2.
Nice Al, never let a minor disaster get in the way of drinking, the true Head-Case tradition. I like that jack Rose modification Marc, I will definitely give it a try. OK, Suffering Bastard #3 is probably the closest to the original drink created by Joe Scialom, one-time head bartender at Sheperd's Hotel in Cairo which substitutes Germain Robin Brandy for the rum. OK I swear this is the last one.

Question: Most Revealing Cans?
The 701's IMO need a bit of power to perform their best so you need a good amp with them. They are not far behind the K340's in their power requirements IMO.

Question: Most Revealing Cans?
I'm in the minority here but I quite like the Denon D2000, for a closed can with all that entails. And Dusty is correct, give the sony v6/7506 a shot.

I take a bottle of Luxardo Maraschino cherries, remove about half of their liguor and replace it with brandy or cognac. These have some Maisson Surrenne cognac in them. Suffering Bastard #2 replaces Junipero with Bluecoat and Wild Turkey Bourbon with Smith and Cross Navy Strength Rum Damn, I'm just not feeling the turn. We may need a third kids.

What a run of bad luck Al! To try and move the luck in a more positive direction I will mix up a Suffering Bastard Build in a highball glass or small mug 1 oz fresh lime juice 1 oz Wild Turkey Rare Breed Bourbon 1 oz Junipero Gin 1 dash Jerry Thomas' Own Decanter Bitters 4oz Goslings Ginger Ale add ice and stir garnish: cherry, orange wedge, sprig mint This much bad luck will probably require multiples

Because at Stereophile they deal with information requiring a Q clearance. Can't have people talking about all those nuclear powered amps on some random computer.

Mmmm milk punch, good stuff and good looking too. I took some liberties with the Daisy and used the recipe from Imbibe!. I made a Rum Daisy that was very tasty. I have almost killed the Junipero bottle with a Golden Dawn 1 oz Junipero Gin 1 oz Calvados Maurice 1/2 oz Rothman and Winter Orchard Apricot 1/2 oz Orange Juice Shake vigorously with ice and double strain into a cocktail glass. Dribble a bit of real pomegranate grenadine through the drink and serve without stirring.

And now what did you do TODAY?
Well they actually show quite a bit of phenotypic plasticity in body shape and coloration patterns but the dorsal spine numbers are pretty consistent.
-
And now what did you do TODAY?
Couldn't have said it better myself. The main distinguishing characteristic is the number of dorsal spines being greater (7-8 ) in the black crappie compared to the white crappie (5-6).
-
And now what did you do TODAY?
I think the crappie part already covers the ugly. They do taste good though.

The vintage 17 here is about 50% costlier. ^^^ Nice.

Not really

And now what did you do TODAY?
Hope everything works out well for the little one Salty. Today we took the Ecology students electrofishing in Lake Charleston. Caught a buttload of neat fish, the kids had a blast and I think a few of them may have learned something. By the end they had no trouble telling a white crappie from a black crappie.

Nice overproof Knickerbocker Shelly. Marc, what can I say, you are a cocktail beast. As far as Bourbon, just buy a couple of bottles of van Winkle Lot B. That is pretty much my house Bourbon. An appropriate cocktail for tonight The (Bloody) Income Tax Cocktail 1 1/2 oz Junipero Gin 3/4 oz Dolin Dry Vermouth 3/4 oz Carpano Antica 1/2 oz Moro Blood Orange Juice 2 dashes Fee Brothers Whiskey Barrel Aged Bitters Shake, double strain and pour into a cocktail glass. Repeat until your taxes come out correctly.

Post the last thing you bought!
I think it is actually pretty good at it's price point, but I prefer the slightly higher $40-50 price point. Lots of good bourbon there.
