Have you been murfed?
Always a possibility, but the liklihood seems rather low.

Digital SLR Recommendations
That is because they leapfrog each other when they introduce new models. It has always been like that, but is more noticeable now with the increased frequency of model upgrades.

That's the way I read it. Ooops. Looks like somebody woke up with a weasel up their bum! Oh! and before you say it, I'm proud of my Edit: Just noticed the new, err... custom title. Blue once but never green.

Digital SLR Recommendations
I would second Nates recommendation. The D80 is a very good camera, still pretty light, but not too light for handholding (a problem with my D50) and can be had with some smoking deals. I just received the 18-200VR and I must say, this is not your fathers zoom lens. The VR technology seems to have matured and really makes handholding realistic for many situations that previously required a tripod.

Oh, I figured that. I simply don't bitch enough on HC, so I wanted to rectify that.

Official Thread: Joe Grado will not be at "Yes, We CANS 2009"
I do not specifically need the headphone out, that waqs more a comment in using it as a more all-in-one solution. In what way, other than the equalization options, would the ultracurve be better than the ultramatch for doing AD conversions? I'm really interested because I will be doing some vinyl archiving this summer. I would love to get a unit that does 24/192 but those are significantly more money than I want to spend on this right now.

I'm probably going to load SAS on it and then run some data sets through on it and my workstation. SAS writes both total time and processor time into the log file for each procedure and the total run. Should be interesting. I probably won't get around to doing that before the summer though.

@Nate - The offer is greatly appreciated but head-fi member vdukeman is a vice-president at Busey Bank so our meeting rooms are totally free of charge. We will not be raffling off anything nor will I be selling any of my gear at the meet. BTW, the package will go out tommorrow now that I found the power plugs.

It is cute, but the OS has me concerned.- Official Thread: Joe Grado will not be at "Yes, We CANS 2009"
I was unable to attend Chiunifi-2 as I am a most excellent procrastinator. I was still working on my poster presentation on that Saturday for the meeting I was flying to on Sunday. I was going to send the shirts up with someone else, but nobody is really close to Charleston. @Aura - Black/Orange it is - Dell Inspiron Mini 9 as a Transport
