D'oh! I got mine direct from Vivid in South Africa (they were a show demo set I think) for R25,000 ($2300) the pair. And they refinished them in my choice of color for free. That's looking like a pretty good deal now.

I see Todd has started carrying Vivid speakers. The big ones get pretty spendy but I gotta say that $3390 for the V1s is a great deal on the best desktop speakers I've yet had the pleasure of hearing. I just finished my bottle of Highland Park 18 and enjoyed every drop. Besides buying some more Highland Park 18 -- which I will -- what else should I consider in that sort of vein?

I've got some Harbeth P3ESRs in a box under my desk and I don't really know what to do with them. Nudge nudge wink wink etc.
