D'oh! I got mine direct from Vivid in South Africa (they were a show demo set I think) for R25,000 ($2300) the pair. And they refinished them in my choice of color for free. That's looking like a pretty good deal now.

I see Todd has started carrying Vivid speakers. The big ones get pretty spendy but I gotta say that $3390 for the V1s is a great deal on the best desktop speakers I've yet had the pleasure of hearing.
