    Warm eggs, though.
  7. Blur -- Modern Life Is Rubbish
  8. The upper midrange/treble troubles me too, but I don't hear it as a nasal inflection. Rather as a sometimes-intrusive sharp edge to vocals. I do absolutely agree, though, that the "sweet spot" volume level is too low for my liking. Where I part company with the sloths and join the elephants is on the spaciousness of the presentation. Elephas is spot on about the sound staging. I just couldn't go back to the 6X0 series now, despite having lived happily with both for extended periods in the past. The HD800 is a superb headphone. But like everything else in life, it has its own particular frustrating imperfections.
  9. Dom's black/silver Headphile Cpads. No idea what these will sound like on an HF-2, but there's only one way to find out and if they work the combo will look pretty fuckin' wicked.
  10. Ray La Montagne -- Gossip In The Grain
  11. Also, he'd pass out before completing the second word. Then turn around and charge $730 for the "Fuck Yo" upgrade -- which makes it sound way better for rap music.
  12. Sazecrac. Jonesin' right now.
  13. Not a perfect fit, but good enough.
  14. Queen -- Live At Wembley Stadium
  15. Well yes, but Dinny's B22 doesn't have "Fuck You" scratched into the top of the case with a #4 Torx screwdriver. Yet.
  16. Klipsch stepping up, albeit with "enhanced bass".
  17. Boston -- Boston
  18. Yeah. We'll figure out a way to make it happen sometime in the future.
  19. Just for shits and giggles, I'd like to set up an A/B of a pair with a graph like Quadrangulum's against a pair with a graph like mine and see if anyone can hear any difference.
  20. Babe in the woods I am, apparently.
  21. Wibble.
  22. Spittin' too many phat rhymes? David & David -- Boomtown I think this was one of the single best albums of the 1980s. Certainly, it was one of the best single albums of the 1980s -- as in, by musicians who never recorded anything else together. It's dark, accomplished and slickly produced by a third "David" -- Davitt Sigurson -- who parlayed it into a couple of really big jobs in the record industry before himself flaming out as suddenly as these guys did. In the box.
  23. Trust me, I'm just jealous.
  24. So now black guys have to live down the "is fizzier" stereotype, too?
