Let's see if it happens. The Qatari's have some bigger worries right now! Jim, I've met John Terry several times and he's honestly really pleasant in person. His kids are also very well behaved and respectful -- which I admit I judge people on. Also no mug financially. Story I heard was that when Chelsea decided to set up their new training ground in Cobham (where we used to live), JT went out on a limb and bought a bunch of land around there and built fuck-off spec mansions on it, which he then rented or sold to new big-money signings -- Torres, Eto'o, Falcao etc. Allegedly made more off property than his club salary, which wasn't small!

The Night Manager with Tom Hiddlestone and Hugh Laurie. Well acted (big surprise!), pacing is somewhat leisurely. Only connection we have right now is Amazon Prime Video, it's interesting to see what they do have.

That's for flying into space, Reks. You can tell by how they write it on every single caseback.

Daytona is the answer as far as drivers' watches go. Reference 16520 with the Zenith El Primero movement and the black subdials ticks all the boxes!

No no no, I specified foot-ball not hand-egg. It does not appear to me as if any of those large and rather oddly-attired gentlemen are planning to address the nominal orb with any appendage below waist level?

Agreed. I like the moonphase without the date window.

Hahaha. Whoops. PS: You'd probably be the best judge of that?

Have a soft spot for Juve too. I need to get cable hooked up stat! Bayern - Chelsea on Tuesday in Singapore. Think it's at 7:35 am Eastern. Both Manchester clubs are also very much strengthened. The English teams are going to start being a force in Europe again. Spurs will go backwards, Arsenal are nowhere, Liverpool is hard to tell.

You'll get no argument from me about the quality of the RM team -- they are an absolute mean machine. The governance does look a bit shit, but then the governance of football itself is shit. Look at FIFA, UEFA etc. Corrupt parasites. Anyway, back to more pleasant thoughts, we will have quite the Spanish core ourselves this season with Azpi, Cesc, Pedro and Morata. I am hoping that we'll go to a midfield three, with Cesc playing behind Kante and Bakayoko. That should be pretty formidable. Oops and I forgot Marcos Alonso -- who has a great Real Madrid family pedigree! That guy has hugely outperformed all expectations since he joined us last season. This was from last night's 3-0 drubbing of the Arse. https://my.mixtape.moe/evsyyr.mp4

I like the small seconds on the automatic -- gives it more visual interest -- and the cleaner dial. Noice!

I have unexpectedly acquired an absolutely massive desk (9" by 4") for my new office. It is our old dining room table, which is itself now adjudged by the professionals to be too small for the new dining room. Sitting in the middle of this thing with one iMac -- even the big one -- is going to look quite ridiculous. This seems to call for a multi-monitor setup a la Colin but I'm not sure how best to pull that off in the current Mac universe? Or I guess there's a two-chair option -- computing at one end, listening at the other with all the gear on top instead of in a rack? Could fit a pretty big turntable ... What says the collective?

I would say something about Franco and fascism, but being owned by a Russian oligarch doesn't really lend itself to occupying the moral high ground. Thank you for Morata, though. We were lethal on the counter last season already with Pedro, Willian and Hazard and I think adding him will take it to the next level. Enjoy the following clip, Jim!

Refuse to use the S word. Know we have some fans of the true religion, however misguided because they don't support Chelsea. Open for memes and banter!

Also pondering what we can learn from literature ...

That would be great! But definitely not the trend ...

I have never seen that before. The iMac packaging is a work of industrial art. Incidentally, the boxes have a 10 degree difference between the slopes of their sides, so if you buy 36 you can do this.

Blinds are on order. The kids already worked out how to find YouTube on it, so I'll probably never get to use anyway.

Fired up and Ethernet connected. Looks pretty good right out of the box. [emoji91]

Only you can decide how much you want to kick society in the nuts! For this purpose, I would choose the Wolverines.
