New Premier League season is off and running. Not a great start for the champions with injuries, suspensions and transfer disappointments but today was well worth getting up early on the West Coast. Man City spent a small country's military budget on fullbacks to try and shore up their defense. Arsenal look poor, Spurs haven't done much in the off season. Much as I hate to say it, my guess is it's the two Manc clubs duking it out at the end. Chelsea weren't able to add the squad depth they'll probably need this season to compete at home and in the Champions' League.

Planning to start doing more hiking and biking. Looking for a multi-activity watch (wrist computer?). A bit of Googling seems to suggest the Garmin Forerunner 935 (cheaper, lighter and anecdotally better GPS performance than the Fenix 5 series). I known some of you here like Suunto as well. Any experiences to share?

Seriously though, those blonde wood OMA Monitors would match my new desk eerily perfectly. They say "mid-field" and boundary reinforcement would likely be an issue with the big woofers, but maybe on risers and about 6-1/2 feet back from my earholes might work?

It's my understanding that latex is fine as long as it's labeled 100% natural -- all others are likely mixed with petroleum based plasticizers. Natural latex has many good qualities -- it's antimicrobial, doesn't mildew and dust mites can't live in it. It also never packs down and gives you good motion isolation. Our current mattress is encased coil springs, organic wool, organic cotton and natural latex. Company doesn't ship outside the West Coast but sure there are others making a similar product. As you're finding, I think, if you rule latex out completely the pool gets a lot smaller.
