Heh. It's got some 12 hard drives in it so its not being moved unless it needs to. It's a lot easier for it to stay here and me just get another wifi card. Might try setting up an hotspot through my phone and see if it pulls any better speeds.

Am trying to avoid doing this but will after my exam on Wednesday if I need to. Probably a lot easier to grab a cheap wifi card to see if the issue is on comcast's end and if they are indeed throttling the mac address of the desktop.

Speedtest on my iPhone, macbook air, Julie's macbook air and her iPhone all show 25 mbit downstream. Desktop shows ~1-3 mbit down. Does comcast see the mac address of the router only or do they see the mac address of all the devices connected to the router? My only guess is mac address throttling as they have throttled my connection twice in the past which I got them to fix after a lot of back and forth. But with that FTP speeds were low on all devices. Here its not just FTP speeds on the desktop but overall bandwidth it is seeing. FTP speeds on all other devices is normal. The desktop is not going over 3 mbit on speedtest.net for some reason. I've tried restarting everything and reseting all configs.

Can anyone think of a reason why a laptop would see the full bandwidth I am paying for (25 mbit) and all of a sudden the desktop is only seeing 3 mbit...no updates installed recently. No changes made to any software or hardware.

Nice acquisition Nate. Happy to report that I continue to love the Rotring 600 pen well past the honey moon period.

Didn't know this. Thanks for the link.

And now what did you do TODAY?
Yeah but foxes are typically wild animals. I was under the assumption that Stretch did not live in the wilderness. So if it really were fox, it would be cool to see them in an urban environment. The fact that they were having sex doesn't really matter to me.

And now what did you do TODAY?
Would be cool/odd to see pictures of either. Not in a sexual way. Well maybe not about the latter guess perhaps.

Handed over a check for $5000 to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and for a little over $7500 to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Both organizations work with children with cancer and do some amazing work to make their lives better. The lab manual I had made for the Neuroanatomy Lab ended up being used as an optional supplement for the course. It will be used as the manual next year with a few more additions that I need to make this summer. It was well received enough that we decided to turn it into a fundraiser for the Photography Club. The students were allowed to donate whatever amount they wanted in exchange for the manual and we ended up getting donations from 322 of the 350 students that got the book which was absolutely unbelievable. That $5000 collected was donated to the LLS. As part of the Pediatric Club, we encouraged people to either shave their head or donated some of their hair to Locks of Love. One 9th grader (who attends an advanced high school attached to my university) surprised us all by raising $4100 alone. She agreed to shave her head if everyone in her class donated anything over $5. The message spread like wildfire and other classes and teachers contributed to the cause as well. We are very lucky to have had her present today. Even though she singlehandedly raised more than half the amount we donated, she was exceptionally humble and a pleasure to talk to. Going to be somewhat easy to fall asleep tonight. Hopefully they can find a way to fuck cancer up the ass. Here are some pictures I took at the event today if you wish to see - http://photographyinmedicine.blogspot.com/2014/11/our-community-efforts_4.html

Still requires the purchase of a dock by those who didn't have one previously or the purchase of absurdly expensive adapter cables. Surely cheaper ones will be available soon but to buy one for usb and another for an sd card seems like a shitty proposition. I think they have crossed the point of diminishing returns for me. Making it more of a nuisance instead of making it more portable.

Finally found a set of blades (shark super chrome) that don't cut me when shaving. Best shave ever. No tugging. Even during the times I applied a bit of pressure, no cuts at all.

Thank you gents. The dry cough is the worst of it. The nebulizer helped the breathing a lot. In case anyone is medically inclined, here is what my breathing sounded like around noon today. Just held a phone up to my mouth. No amplification. The other med school students got a kick out of it. https://soundcloud.com/anurag-katyal/lung-sounds
