  1. Played 3 hours of badminton after a few years of not playing due to shoulder injuries. Felt great until the very last moment when sharp pain shot down my arm. :< Was having so much fun as well Julie got me a fitbit recently and it has been fantastic in keeping track of exercise/food intake/steps taken etc. Really brought to the forefront how sedentary my life had become. A few years ago I weighed 227 at my heaviest and was able to go down to around 190 and man did that feel great. Being able to move faster, play sports better, have more energy and just feeling lighter was great. A few weeks ago I was back up and over 227 at 240lbs. Decided to change that for the better and am down 5 lbs in the last 2 weeks. Likely water weight but have gone to the gym everyday for the past 2 weeks so hoping to make it stick this time. ps. can anyone move the weight lifting thread out of the casino or send me a dump of it? I don't have access to it anymore. I'd like to go back and follow the same regimen that worked the first time around.
  2. But what about the toobs??? Aren't they the good kind of distortion?
  3. Dropped to the 20/30s this morning in South Florida. Heard this couple talking outside the breezeway as I was walking to class..."why don't all these scientists look at the fucking thermometers...global warming is just another way for them to control us and make us buy shit we don't need." Really hope the pair aren't in my college.
  4. I thought this was a spoof...it's actually real? WTF
  5. I'm very happy to hear this Peter. Glad they did the right thing by you.
  6. The rotring FP that I wanted was well out of my range when I was considering it. Then I ended up spending far too much money on a Delta Taureg. Great pen - I just couldn't find the use for it back when I was in the math program. Mostly I used pencils. Now, I can't remember the last time I had to do any writing. Everything is typed. The pen is nice for taking notes though for board studying. I was hating the cheap plastic BIC pens which were far too light. The rotring has a nice heft to it. I wouldn't mind it being heavier in fact. The knurled grip keeps me loyal to them but if something similar with a knurled grip were to appear that were heavier, I'd like go for it.
  7. Waaaaaaay cool. Not into watches as much as you guys are but I would love to do something like that. Have fun ari
  8. Is that pineapple in the background? I used to think I was the only one who enjoyed it with chocolate in various forms.
  9. Took the one of Julie a while back. The one of my classmate was taken recently for a TED talk he is giving in a few days.

  11. From a while back. The sky was a boring blue grey so tried selective color. 'Separated by Water'
  12. Tried making chicken curry for the first time. Came out surprising close to the way my grandmother used to make. Overcooked a chicken a hair but otherwise perfect curry.
  13. Holy distortion Batman. Wide lens is wide. Clever use though - flipping the image.
  14. Thank you sir. Julie was upset she wasn't around to share I mean
  15. chicken, broccoli and onions cooked in an anchovy base red sauce topped off with tomatoes and some Spanish rice on the side.
  16. Was about to pull the trigger on the 20/1.8 but will wait for the sigma 24 now. Looks like a great lens.
  17. That's a pretty expensive conversion. I thought there was a company that modified that filter for like $250 or something.

  19. Kelida being wheeled away to the bathroom. She kept up her spirits throughout and gave us some beautiful smiles. Unfortunately, the treatment caught up and she did not feel well. Her grandmother did not speak English and Kelida was translating for her the entire time. She only spoke French and both of them kept laughing at my constant repetition of, 'feuille de papier' - the only french I remembered from last year.
