Clippers can suck a fat one. I guess the only team left for me to cheer for is the warriors. Really wants to see spurs vs warriors

This was the second time I tried bone in. The first time was on the grill so nothing got steamed. The bone in seems like a waste of money to me as one is still paying for it but cannot eat it. Almost always costs more. Any particular reason for that?

All current available funds are funding a 9 day road trip through Ireland starting in a week. I miss my grill but I'll take driving down the Irish west coast over the grill any day.

I miss my grill Simple little charcoal Weber on the balcony but after 2 years of living here, all of a sudden I was asked to remove it by the association because it was against the rules. All the while, people on the first floor (I am on the third) all over the place continue to grill stuff every day.

Blarg. Thanks for the help, though.

The bone explains the lack of sear. But what would cause it to be so chewy? It was well marbled. When I took it out of the oven, it looked boiled, not pan seared when I flipped it. I dried it well before putting it on the pan.

Got what I thought was a pretty good rib eye from Publix. Preheated a seasoned cast iron pan to 500C (highest my oven goes to). Put the steak in, 3 minutes on each side. Came out medium rare. It didn't get a sear though for some reason (maybe it was the bone that prevented proper contact but there was enough meat touching the pan that didn't get seared). It also came out to be the chewiest steak I've ever made. So chewy that I gave up on it after like 20 seconds and spat out the bolus. Any thoughts on what might have made the steak so chewy? Usually I stick to boneless steaks but figured I'd give the bone in a try (it was cheaper too).

About to pull the trigger on the nikon 20mm or the sigma 24mm art. Any thoughts/suggestions between the two? Cost is about the same. The sigma is most likely sharper wide open. Either buy one of the above or rent the zeiss 21mm...? -
Recently got a Fitbit Flex from Julie and it has been alarming as to how sedentary my lifestyle had become. Was barely doing 1500 steps most of which came from walking to and from the library. Anyhow, if anyone else has a fitness tracker and wants to do challenges feel free to add me on the fitbit website - [email protected]. Also, just found a great website, www.matchup.io which syncs data from various trackers from different companies so people with different trackers can still do challenges together. The website also has challenges that you can do with other people on the internet - I just signed up for this one - https://matchup.io/group/4746/yellowstone-park-to-tenton-rail-trail You can find me on matchup with the username - anuragkatyal Cheers

My advisor has the 18-35. Every bit as amazing as the sigma 35/50 I've had in the past. Amazing IQ. -

I am a big proponent of buying used photography gear. The price of entry is considerably lower. For about the cost of renting (sometimes less, sometimes a little more), you can get rid of the gear if you don't find it agreeing with you and try something else. -
Oodles of this. Better would be to make another one with Bale directed by Nolan. There certainly was room left for another one at the end of the trilogy.

Hey Head-Case, what's your bandwidth like?
crappyjones123 replied to Knuckledragger's topic in Off Topic
They don't. I just mentioned being below 250gb to say I didn't even get to what they were capping back in the day. My parents pay $55/month for an 8 mbit line (Advanced Cable Company - they buy bandwidth from Comcast) about 40 minutes north of where I live. My gf pays $19.99 for a 50 mbit line (with Comcast) about 70 minutes north of where I live. The zip code you live in allows for companies to jack up the prices because they end up just having to compete with one other company. However, recently things have been getting worse. Last year, one of the companies that services my parents' home purchased the rights to the entire community they live in so they can set the price at whatever they want (I thought this was illegal...). They jacked up the price from $45/month to $55/month. I just got off the phone with ATT to see if they would match the price I was getting with Comcast earlier and I was told that they don't service the apartment community anymore. So it's just comcast now. For the past 3-4 years they have offered the $20/month for 25 mbit but now they only offer the 3 mbit line for $20/month and out of nowhere, the only other option I have is to get satellite? Doesn't seem like a coincidence to me. There doesn't seem to be any standard to their pricing across the county even. -

I fucking love comcast. My roommate was the only one who watched tv so he had the tv package with the internet. Now that he is leaving and I am getting a new roommate (who just wants internet like me) I called comcast to try to cancel the current package and just go back to the 25 mbit for $20/month. Was just informed that I could pay that amount for a 3 mbit line and that I would be very happy with the connection because it is uncapped...can't even threaten them with the usual I'll go with someone else because they have the monopoly for my community. We don't get services by anyone else. And even if I did get att they aren't much better with charging $55 for 20 mbit. This whole shit blows. Fuck comcast. -

I don't know much about that body except that it does fantastic low light video. And BH is offering a $200 instant discount along with 4% rewards (always comes in handy for the extra battery. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1081854-REG/samsung_ev_nx1zzzbzbus_nx1_digital_camera.html Looks like a fun body. -

Not a lens I would ever think to pick for portraiture but great images, Ari. -
Care to share the recipe, Nate? I think the girls might enjoy it.

Thats what the anatomy professor called it...

Thanks all. Shelley, the shot was arranged by height. They just happened to bet he shortest in the group. I had the remote trigger in the other hand. Not sure why I felt the need to tilt my entire body to hide it.

Second from the left as you view the image from left to right, not radiographical left next to the lovely Olivia in the white coat.
