DACing Off
That's what I was thinking as well. If I had the means it'd be mine, unfortunately I have 1/10th the means so I went with something else.

At least the seller is saying he'll refund, get that money and run Doug.

DACing Off
Doug, my advice is to bail on the transaction and seek a refund now.

There are places in a circuit where it makes sense to spend $$ and places where it does not. So it's very much a "pick your battles" type of thing and also it's also far less of a decision when even the cheapest alternative isn't that much less than the boutique alternative. Paying Mikhail $1000 for V-caps never made any sense to me but when the decision is spend $20 for generic Solen caps or $60 for Silver Unicorn Impregnated Baby Whale caps I say eff the whale and spend the extra dough.

I currently have exactly zero projects for other people on the books, no amps, no cables, no nothing. Therefore I shall build shit for myself for once. I'm not going to lie, it's pretty strange. Not bad strange, just strange.

The LCDuino-1 I/O processor - by amb and linuxworks
welcome linuxworks, when I posted this thread I was not aware of how intimately you were involved in this project. I've appropriately updated the thread title to give credit where it is certainly due. Well done, the both of you.

What did you do today?
Worked. Then met Voltron, VPI, Stretch and Ian for dinner at a little Irish pub in Manchester, NH. By strange coincidence Al and Jeff were in town on the same day so a few of the locals (ish) rallied to show them a decent time. Just got home and have to say: a) Al knows how to travel even with TSA restrictions and damn, his JH13s would make JEM proud. They are truly, truly, truly outrageous.

Internet Faxing?
You have to send it to another fax machine, no option for email? For me (and my company) the advent of being able to either scan documents to pdf or create pdf's direct from word has virtually eliminated fax as a means of transmitting information.

Vicki, If you want a small portable amp to go along with the gift let me know. I have one floating around a drawer at home that I'd be happy to donate.

Email notifications busted?
Try changing email addresses Dinny, see if shocking the system does it. Also check spam filter setting to make sure that the head-case email address is white listed so messages aren't automatically dumped.
