  1. Good stuff Mike, Jim, and Colin . Just picked up one of these with some help from a gift card I got from my aunt for xmas - Not completely functionally across all the keys, but the stuff I need works just fine and it feels pretty great compared to my crap Dell I've used for years.
  2. Hey folks, I need to backup a large amount of text messages from my 3GS (like 8 months-worth) and have yet to really find a good way to go about it. Forwarding them all to my e-mail would take ages and the basic text files don't keep track of the sender and receiver. I came across this but it seems pretty basic and not worth the $10 registration. Any suggestions?
  3. Bell's Best Brown Ale, tap.
  4. Single bottle of Péché Mortel from Brasserie Dieu Du Ciel. Ironic that I couldn't find this up in Chicago at Binny's South Loop but I could down here in Peoria.
  5. Have a great one Mike. I hope Deb provides you with many drinks tonight.
  6. Where is that at John? Right now - Meiji Hello Panda's. These things are fucking delish.
  7. Jealous on the former. Extremely jealous.
  8. Grats CJ. Today was the beginning of the end for me. First day of classes for my last undergrad semester.
  9. Mike and Deb, John and his wife and neighbors, and Allison and myself met at 3 Floyds. Phenomenal 4-5 hours. Wonderful people. I wouldn't trade experiences like this for anything, to be quite honest.
  10. Keep searching Jin, it's supposed to be pretty widely available so it's probably just coincidental that you haven't seen it yet. Reks - as I drank it I was already thinking to myself, "grab a few of these for cellaring." That won't be possible until after I get out of school, but yeah, I'll buy more of this.

  14. Absurdly busy. Yesterday I helped my friend and former roommate move from Peoria to Muscatine, IA. Then drove back to Chicago. All in all, about 6 hours in the car coupled with moving crap up 3 flights of stairs. Today I'm headed downtown to Michigan Ave for a while with my friend and then we're hitting up Binny's and possibly Goose Island Clybourn in Lincoln Park. Less than a week before classes start. Better enjoy the last of my free time.
  15. Mike what do you think of that DFH? Nearly bought a 4 pack of it last week but decided to pass.
  16. Happy birthday my friend, x2 on what Mike said.
  17. Tripel showdown back at school. Unibroue La Fin du Monde vs. Affligem Tripel. La Fin has more funk and bitterness, more of a kick. Affligem feels more tame, less carbonated, but smells quite similar. Affligem pic. Lost Abbey brews in the background are for Mike this coming weekend. Yes I finally remembered them for you .

I don't know what you know, but I know that I want your rig Steve.

  20. Birthday card and The Hunger Games for my sister's birthday coming up.
  21. Yup, that about sums it up. Lol. Steve remains the voice of reason in this chaotic period. Chris - the official title is "Competitive Intelligence and Case Studies Analyst". It's basically 100% strategy formulation (including research and empirical analysis) and communication to a particular division in BP. Stuff like tactics to gain competitive advantage, etc. Yes, it's with BP. But there's only one other company who has listed a similar position of late that offers the same niche functions and they seem to be looking for someone to do it in more of a managerial role, which requires more experience. Since I don't have experience yet, BP seems much more likely. I want to get into upper-level corporate management eventually, and domestic strategy formulation/research is a great place for me to start. I actually received an e-mail from them this morning already saying that I appear to have good potential and they will be contacting me again soon. So that's cool. At the very least it's nice to hear back from one of these major companies I've been applying to. I'm very annoyed that they make you apply on their own website and then you hear basically nothing back, not even a reply that they've at least reviewed your application. I got an e-mail from Accenture two days ago but they were just asking for more information regarding my application (EEOC req'd ethnic info bullshit). Maybe that's a sign that they are finally reviewing my application 2 months after I sent it to them?
  22. Submitted an application for a strategy position at BP, during which I asked myself "does working for an oil company make me immoral?"
  23. Would you say that it's still worth it despite the $100 hike posty?

I agree, an integrated option from Pass seems like a winner in my book, especially with that faceplate.
