  1. Freedom Trail looks cool, something I definitely will try and see. The North End seems to be a little italy, so that looks promising too. Beer is always good. Hmm, if it is just comics and vinyl, my money should be OK, but could still be fun to check out. I love seafood, ditto for chinese. Not so much into art museums, too much of an uncultured heathen.
  2. That was since Canjam, where they were a 4ohm diaphragm with no traces on it and 12ohm series resistor. Since that point, I believe that the only changed made have been the heatshrink on the cable and the fix for the wood cracking.
  3. It's very nice. On top of that, February will be my first month back on good driver status for insurance, which will cut that bill roughly in half.
  4. My car. Made the last payment yesterday.
  5. Didn't you do some sort of mod to your LCD1?
  6. I would at least take a look at the caps in the amps, just considering that they havnt been stored in a controlled environment. Guess you really don't have to worry about freezing temps though. Recapping 'lytics of that age is never a bad idea anyways.
  7. I find it interesting that so many find this bright. Granted, I havn't really listened with a pair other than mine, or with the EF5 or most of the other amps people use, but that just hasnt been an issue at all.
  8. Food is good. Generally I like to wander the city, but I fear it will be too cold to do much of that next week. Havn't really traveled anywhere in the winter, besides Cuernavaca, which doesn't count. Guess I really don't know.
  9. This. Also bent the arcs slightly to angle the earcups to better fit my head.
  10. I am flying down to Montgomery, AL tomorrow to drive my grandparents up to Boston (well technically, Reading) MA, and will be staying there for a few days before heading home. The main point of this trip is to get my grandparents to my Uncle and new Aunt's house, and to see my new (about two week old) cousin, but there will definitely be some time to see other things in the area. Only been to Boston once before for a few days, so any suggestions are appreciated.
  11. I wear it with the seam somewhere between straight forward and angled slightly up, whatever ends up being the most comfortable.
  12. SiC? Plus, you hate closed, no?
  13. I am definitely curious about those and the w11jpn. Never got into Watershed at all, its the most disappointing album I have bought in a long time.
  14. Nice! I didnt expect you to get it quite this soon, shouldnt have doubted his DACness. So, internal pics!
  15. Yeah, I am curious too. The only A-Ts I have run into that I cared for thus far were the ESW9/10.
  16. I hated them.
  17. Three Epica shirts.
  18. Saw Epica tonight, definitely the best show I have ever seen. They were right on, except I think Simone lost her monitor for a few seconds during Tides of Time. Practically flawless performance though, amazing set, and I had the best location in the house. Encores were Quietus, Sancta Terra, and Consign to Oblivion. Full Album
  19. Woot!
  20. How is that different from most hifi?
  21. I dont know about the first, though just guessing I would suspect the manufacturing tolerances to be looser than one of the major companies. I would hazard a guess that the most difficult part of manufacturing for them to control is the diaphragm tension, which will make a huge difference. The second I am pretty confident is true.
  22. Thats a shame, I would expect that amp to sound great. Wonder what is up.
  23. We used one of these in an engineering class, and the system was pretty cool. Unfortunately, the project was one which would have been much easier to do with discrete logic.
  24. Isn't that the Raven? Differential CCS loaded 6H30 spud w/ parafeed outs?
