  1. It looks like you have the TTL input before the amplification stage, though I guess it will just go to the rails and act as a buffer? Also, is it any real benefit to do the bypassing of the DC blocking caps to the extent that you are? What are you actually doing with TTL signals?
  2. I think that amp would not match too well with the Denon's 25ohm impedance. Of course, I would stick with the above recommendations to sell your existing gear and go for Stax.
  3. SRD4 has no bias supply, so unless you add one, it can just run the electrets.
  4. ^ That is where the subwoofer goes, silly.
  5. The "keyway" is the same as is on your normal bias Lambda, so as long as that fits, you will be good. The o2 plugs and such only get wider when you get about 13mm back from the start of the plastic, presumably where the end of the pins in the plug are and the ultra wide ribbon connects. Until that point, its almost exactly the same as what you have. Except, you know, the center pin.
  6. Woot, thats major win right there! Now for duals!
  7. Definitely a good thing. Two or three refits from Unique Melody, even assuming they are free, and you could double the cost of going custom just on shipping. Hmm, definitely something to ponder.
  8. That is good news. Do you have any idea if they work with you like JH seems to in the event of a poor fit?

Pfft, headphones can be worn on a bike. Anyone asks, space age earmuffs. It's cold out there, donchaknow?
  10. Ooh, very nice! I presume that since the tension on the pins seems to be inherent to their design, there is no need to worry about cold flow in the teflon?

Ah, but if I can lead either Dusty or Chris into temptation, I can come mooch a listen. DEW EET!

Nope. I would actually love to hear one myself.
  13. I presume the scratchy sound stops after you short the pins out? If it doesnt, then I have no clue what could be going on, but the drivers do hold bias for a good while.
  14. About 1.62w, current limited. More into the 25ohm impedance of the HE5, voltage limited.
  15. He has said he is working on a higher level version, as well as a cheaper version.
  16. Yeah, real shame that Linear Systems never seemed to get the P-channel equivalent up. IIRC, they had been predicting Q4 2008, which obviously didnt happen. Dont know if they are having fab/yield issues, or just decided it wasnt worth the money to pursue.
  17. I supposed connecting a spare PC to the TV isnt an option?
  18. I will try, but no guarantees.
  19. K1000 FTW!
  20. Indeed. I will try and make it, assuming I am still in the area then.
  21. Ah cool. Yeah, I definitely would like to hear that some time.
  22. That was running off the N1000 adapter, I never tried it with the Stax amp.
  23. I bought a pair a while back which had some serious issues including funny sounds and very inconsistent output. I dont know if it was just the cable or something more dire, but I ended up returning it to the seller.
  24. Do yours not work either?
