  1. My first decent approach to what Hifi could be, about 35 years ago, was listening to a Bose 901 based system powered by Harman Kardon amps. That was pretty enlightening, good enough to get me engaged to this hobby. Of course I hadn't listened to any higher quality system before, so memory's tendency to embellish the recalls and the lack of perspective make for a beautiful wrong impression, but I still keep some respect for their older stuff. I haven't listened to a Bose system in years.
  2. Want! will shill for a discount
  3. That sucks guys. Grahame, has it been mentioned the indication of an articulation capsule biopsy?
  4. This. Looks like the AKG 812 is a reply to nothing since everything seems to be better.
  5. It's just a prototype... wait, all Hifiman thingies look like prototypes
  6. I'd be happy with my back getting normal and being able to do whatever. Just swimming would be great.

  8. Jacob, paper, specially newspaper paper, is an excellent heat insulator, as many homeless people and cyclists know. It works on air, as Dusty suggested with the bubble wrap, but IMO produces a more homogenous layer.
  9. FIFY
  10. You mean the Hifiman, right? I'm somewhat allergic to that brand. Prejudicious dick thinking on my part.
  11. Kinda little bit expensive for a portable thingie

Oh, this reminds me of a Fender which was somehow digitized and could change its tonality and do a whole lot of interesting things. No idea if that got any acceptance or success, or how it sounded.
  13. This. Your storms get here a few days later, but no snow, just rain and wind, fortunately temperatures don't drop below 0ÂșC.

    Very nice, Jeff
  15. Yep, I liked it pretty much, especially your talkie by the end, though too many tracks to follow. Loved the farewell
  16. Very clarifying. Thanks, Ken!
  17. Sounding good so far, Dusty. Thanks!
  18. Fumed as in smoked? I've heard of smoked wood, the technique more than to provide a certain finish, is used to dry the wood so it won't camber with time.
  19. Thanks. That line out may be very handy to feed a Stax rig
  20. Listening to your birthday's show right now. We'll see if it manages to get me engaged to the ambient-downtempo
  21. I see, one of those a lot of work for a small fix kind of things. Having the problem spotted is great news though.
  22. Does it have a line output to be used as a source in a "big rig"?
  23. What was the issue?
  24. Jacob, can you get pure aloe vera? it's a great aid for skin burns and other lesions. Best results are achieved opening a leaf and applying the jelly inside it onto the wound.
