I agree with Justin, specially with the above. I'm getting one of those Pono things, chrome signed by Herbie Hancock, more for storage capacity and the hopes it sounds as good or better than my iTouch with regular 16/44 than for I believe the HD files are going to provide any better sound on the go. The store is a whole different matter IMO. If they aspire to become a big name among the online music retailers, they need to either focus in a niche market like HDTracks, or offering a huge catalogue at very competitive prices. Otherwise most of the market goes pirate or keeps purchasing at Amazon and iTunes for lossy files. Most people won't care shit about sound quality, I really don't see the Pono store being a success selling only to the device owners.

Mostly this. I think a full 16/44 FLAC (or any other lossless codec) store offering prices under $10/album could get a lot of my music expense.

I don't like the shape, but the price is OK and possibly sounds good. Liking the line out for portable player use on vacation and work duties. It keeps more music than my iTouch. One of those limited series with an artist signature looks good. Not that good for daily commuting or sports practice listening.

I think this depends on how you implement the mod. It's possible that using a too thick material or a too absorptive one may cause that.

Yep, I have a pair of glasses just for near vision, which I use for reading books/e-books and shaving (it's complicated getting good extreme outfield vision to see what you're doing under your jaws), and another pair for far vision, which I use for movies, TV, driving... The ones I'm using most by far are the progressives though. Mine are the "more balanced" type I think, but I'm not sure, I've been using them for almost 4 years and honestly, I don't remember. These Zeiss get wider field of view at all distances than other brands, but still suck until you get accustomed. Going downstairs wearing them isn't any fun the first days

I have Zeiss progressives. It took a while to get accustomed, and still prefer the near vision lenses for reading or shaving, and far vision ones for driving, cinema, etc, but for working and tasks requiring frequent changes in focal point, they're extremely practical.

Also Míele. About 14 years old and still going strong like the first day. I love the upper shelf for cutlery and the air condensation drying system. Extremely efficient with quite low energy consumption.
