looks like adktitan read his welcome message and got some profit from being around. Not that I think we're wise people or have any arcane knowledge which can't be found anywhere else, but he has a point: Most of the information is around, probably not in "reviews" sort of presentation, nor in replies to clueless newbies looking for someone else to get the responsibility of their purchases. In any case most of HC established members are quite knowledgeable of their stuff, so their opinions are worth reading. They won't try to convince you that they own some truth which anyone else is missing. But for the JH stuff, but that's another whole story
  2. Happy Birthday Rodrigo!!!! Que cumplas muchos m

    I wonder if he's a Birgir's relative too
  4. Going from some British blues to a funky Jamiroquai session: then In between at some point this Sun Kil Moon's April
  5. x2 For me even second hand 580 for less money and equally good sound as the HD600. Modified D5000 aren't that bad, but still excessive bass and too peaky treble in some areas. For well recorded classical can be quite enjoyable, though I'd take the 650 over them anytime.
  6. Have a great one, Tom
  7. I like the B22 very much with most phones, but I wouldn't say it's the best match for the HD800. I like the Gilmore Reference better (SE more than balanced) and the Luxman P1 even more. It all depends on what HD800 features you want to enhance and which ones are better tamed.
  8. Downloading it. I wish more artists followed this business model and offered 16/44 or higher lossless files at a sensible price.
  9. Have a great one Pete!!!
  10. Happy belated Birthday Todd. I wish it was a great one
  11. Whoa! Thanks a lot mates . And Happy belated Birthday to Laxx and Tachikoma. BTW that trifecta thing sounds like a disease hehehehe
  12. Charles Mingus - Blues & Roots
  13. Good idea, my wife wants visiting Edinburgh again, so I'd have the best excuse
  14. Prince - 20Ten
  15. I like Mezzoforte. They have a saxophonist who must be Birgir's relative
  16. Thank you mates For a team which always played quite well but never won anything -until 2008's Euro Cup-, being in the World Cup finals after beating Germany playing the way they did... is simply awesome.
  17. Whoa 50!!! that's great Have a very Happy Birthday Mike
  18. Happy Birthday Birgir!!! Have the badest assest BD of your life until the next one, of course
  19. And I can't get a service any faster in my area
  20. Congrats Ric, you deserve some treat now, don't ya? I watched Brazil defeat too Not that it surprised me, they have superb players, but lack that group spirit that make things work when difficulties appear. Let's see what happens today with Germany vs. Argentina and Spain... oh Spain
  21. I like better Sympathique for cheering spirits up. AC/DC is also quite energizing for me. Definitely not Tchaikovsky for a quick happy effect. Take care
  22. Happy Birthday mate
  23. From another thread I've seen you (Boomana) already know "a bit" about MMW Also that you're exploring a big deal of "new" to me bands. If you want to investigate into jazz, maybe "classic", perhaps funky or whatever, let's know, there're lots of great albums to listen. Do you like Hammond B3 based jazz? Now a couple of recommendations: Bebo and Cigala - L
