I'm on the third day of a 7 day trial. I like it a lot. My experience with the SQ is very similar to Brent. I normally encode at high rate variable and call it good because I determined years ago that my old ears couldn't tell the difference. Maybe/probably* placebo but Tidal is causing me to reconsider that assumption. * one small data point: the one time I noticed that the music was sounding "normal" (as opposed to really stellar) so I looked and the HIFI symbol was inactive for whatever reason. I assume it was a temporary poor wifi connection.

Closest thing that I had to this was about 10 years ago someone got my Gmail password somehow and used it to ebay/paypal purchase a $600 World of Warcraft character in Germany. It was refunded with not much hassle. More recently we had someone repeatedly trying to access our online bank account so we had to change our user name and reset passwords. Pretty minor compared to what you are dealing with. I hope it works out OK in the end.
