Good News! My wife was one of 5 teachers called back for the 2011/12 school year. No idea what she will be teaching, but at least she is employed. We can only hope those who are laid off are called back as well. At least we'll have breathing room for one more year.

Congratulations and good luck Bryan! Sorry to hear that Raffy. That sucks!

Woke up this a.m. to no 12 volt power in my 3 year old travel trailer. Yep, 110 volt service, but no interior lights ... and in a stroke of genius, the refrigerator is controlled by a 12v panel, the hot water heat likewise and the lp gas sniffer screams like a wild banshee without 12 v power until the battery finally died. So basically nothing worked. Battery one year old and plenty of water. Was able to charge the battery with the truck. Need a new inverter/charger. Weather was delightful, good long talk with the campground owner who is having his own issues with trying to expand. Came home and my wife's car won't start. I'm really not liking anything involving mechanical or electrical mechanisms at the moment.

Picked up my macbook.The display bezel, display panel, top case enclosure, airport card, and 2-1 gb memory modules replaced ... under apple care. Looks new even if it acts 2 1/2 yrs old. Used the Dell Inspiron 9300 it replaced while waiting for repairs. Can't believe how big and heavy it was ... and sloooow. Glad to have the mac back.

Good Luck CJ! Always better to do something you love. I've spent 40 years in the same field and still love going to work each day. Can't imagine waking up and dreading going to work. The money is simply not worth that drudgery.

Since my wife is not attending the Kentucky Derby we'll be having a Derby Day party and intend to serve mint juleps. The only mint juleps i"ve had were at the Churchill Downs. I see they use Early Times KY whiskey at Churchill, not the traditional bourbon. Lots of recipes, some simple, some fairly involved. Any one have a good mint julep recipe to recommend?
