~Happy Birthday!~

Glad you're up and about Brent. Home is a great place to be. Just returned home from a week of stay-cation. Started with the annual family camping trip. I took off work early a week ago Friday because my sister wanted to meet early in the day to "talk". No show until 7:00 pm. On Saturday we got 5 inches of rain in 3 hours. Sunday my oldest daughter and her husband woke up the campground screaming at each other. This was our 13th trip and clearly the worst one. The Stay-cation at our travel trailer was nice. Took a road trip to Frankenmuth, Mi, also known as little Bavaria. Great time poking around the shops. Had another nice road trip north through small towns. Found a nice local diner for lunch. Also went to the Danish Festival yesterday and had a great time there. Otherwise just chillin and grillin. Came back home today and discovered 12 inches of grass to mow. Finished that and another thunderstorm rolled through. Now to finish unpacking and laundry. Have to admit I'm pretty relaxed.

Great news Jacob! Congratulations.

Dog Dematter. I've been through 3 dogs with this little wonder and it even successfully demats ears that look like baseballs with all the burrs and debris that hunting dogs acquire.

Spent the day with online friends from Israel. Had a great time and sad to see them go even though we met in person for the first time today. He is a retired airline security chief and international airline security consultant with interesting views of our TSA. From his perspective we need to stop putting out security fires, stop treating everyone the same and begin addressing the source of our security risks. In other words stop worrying about guns in pilots shoes, stop making 90 yr old women removing their depends and begin realistic threat profiling. Much like my limited experience here, always great meeting someone you "know" online.

Hoping the stitches won't be noticeable. Glad she's okay otherwise. Reminds me of all the times I sat in the emergency room with my daughters.

How wonderful that she was surrounded at the end by those she loved and who loved her. I am truly sorry for the loss of your mother. The links to the obits was a nice touch. They give a glimpse of a life that was lived well. Wishing you and your family peace.

fucking sheep?

Woke up tired and sore today after moving 10 ton of pea gravel around yesterday. Campground owner used the front end loader to bring the loads and roughly spread them out. I got to use rake and shovel to finish the job. The new area behind the trailer looks really nice now.
