Post the last thing you bought!
Nice! Todd loaned one for a meet and I had an opportunity to listen to it for a couple of days. Unfortunately, the one we had wouldn't fire up the day of the meet. I don't have alot of experience with tube amps but it was very nice. Different from my P1 but I'd say pretty comparable. Enjoy.

And now what did you do TODAY?
Thank you all. Your support, advice and just being there helped. I'm over my angst now and ready to move forward. Bit of good news for us in that my wife is first of those laid off to be called back, should they do so. Bit of a reach but there is the possibility she may stay (read bump) and another teacher with less seniority may have to be laid off instead. Still some investigation to find out what is actually going on with the school and this individual. Very selfish on our part to do everything possible to keep her employed. Dinny , wise choice in missing the reunion. I will be my 40th high school reunion this year but I won't be going. I've been to three and in my case I won't be missing anything. Moved and spread two yards of mulch this afternoon. Took my wife out to dinner and plan on spending the day with her tomorrow. See if I can help restore some self worth. It's been a tough stretch for her.

And now what did you do TODAY?
Seems to be the week for bad news here @ HC. Got the call at work. My wife's pink slip from her school is now an official lay off notice. I've really been too busy to think about it until now. Since she is one of 20 high school teachers that are laid off, I have to believe that this is a permanent lay off for her. Second Famous Grouse in progress. I'm in shock. Completely misread what was going on. I'm both angry and would have no problems beating the shit out of a school board member or administrator, and sad, as in crying sad. We've suffered through a combined income decrease in 2010 of $10000+. We viewed it as no more disposable income. But this literally hurts financially. We're 4 years away from early retirement (age 62). Still depend on two incomes since I made the decision years ago to be a stay at home father with my young daughters, we're still feeling the effects of that decision. I'm literally lost at the moment, which is unusual for me. Not likely to find another teaching position as all school districts are in the same boat. Neighboring district pink slipped every teacher. Honestly, I don't think we can survive this financially. I'm not looking fondly at starting over this close to age 60. Damn, this truly sucks Sorry, I'm having a hard time seeing the up side of this situation. I can't find the escape clause or golden opportunity.

And now what did you do TODAY?
Congrats to all ... healing, recovery, coming home ... and to the kids for opportunities like Disney and the DNC ... and to all those completing projects. Spent my day buying and hauling mulch .. too wet to spread it. Downloaded a boat load of tunes from Magnatune and visited the local used record/cd store. Just finished ripping and adding artwork. Now to listen while waiting for my bride to return from Fort Wayne. Then out to dinner and a quiet evening at home .

Opened up the trailer on our season lease site. Guess we've been lucky all these years. Evidence of mice and two empty trays of poison. I hate the dirty little bastards. First time we've entertained the little shits over the winter.
