I liked the race quite a bit this year and other than a few days while on the brew tour I watched it all, typically in the long format. I really like Froome last year when he was clearly supporting Wiggins even though he often had to hold back so as not to crack his own leader. I liked him this year, although a little less for some intangible reason and also for the tangible reason of bending and breaking the rules on occasion. I don't think it really happened that often and I am certain it wouldn't have made a substantial difference. As to doping allegations, I think they just need to do their tests and try to keep it clean and hope for the best. I think this was the most drug-free Tour in many years regardless. Quintana was a highlight in many respects, and if he had been more strategic in the Pyrenees he could have accomplished even more. The 19th and 20th stages were pure win, and although I was bummed TeJay Van Garderen couldn't hold on I was happy a Frenchman won a stage in the 100th Tour. The 20th was epic and I hate Contador so I was thrilled when Quintana and Rodriguez knocked him all the way off the podium. Quintana winning the stage and taking the polka dot jersey and white jersey were really amazing and so well executed after his earlier blunders. Cavendish had a rough Tour all around but he still won two stages and will be back for more next year. Kittel looked like a lucky winner after the crash on stage 1 but he proved he is the real deal by winning a couple more and flat out beating Cavendish yesterday. 101 will be a good year.

Dr. Woody and Delicate Steve My jacket's gonna be cut slim and checked Maybe a touch of seersucker with an open neck I ride a D.S. scooter with my hair cut neat I wear my Head-Case shirt in the wind and sleet. So how come the other tickets look much better? Without a penny to spend they dress to the letter. How come the Texas boys come on oh so cool Yet when you meet 'em, every one's a fool? What is it? I'll take it. Who is he? I'll rape it. Got a dick there? I'll exceed it. Getting Tice? You can't beat it. Doctor Woody and Delicate Steve Found Texas to be too naive, So now he rides the Cali streets. You say he's a virgin. I'm gonna be the first in. His fella's gonna kill me? Oh fucking will he. I'm seeing double But don't miss me if you can. There's gonna be trouble When he chooses his man. What is it? I'll take it. Who is he? I'll rape it. Got a dick there? I'll exceed it. Getting Tice? You can't beat it. Doctor Woody and Delicate Steve Found Texas to be too naive, So now he rides the Cali streets.* *Apologies to Pete Townshend for combining and mangling his songs.

I didn't notice the capital I but I am not sure I would have been able to discern that one anyway. Funny now that I get It.

Everybody needs to pound their meat on occasion, and I don't begrudge the neighbors makin' bacon a little noisily when the mood arises. But damn, do they have to do it at 6am in their kitchen right across from my bedroom window? I was awoken today by the sound of slapping meat at 6am and realized the neighbors were at it again. Here is the evidence: Yes, that is bacon or drying beef strips hanging in the kitchen window next to a skanky dish towel and open window. Or else Mr. and Mrs. Hannibal Lector live across the way. Creeps me out either way.

The Ditka is strong in this one. Good work Jim, although saying you have a Hopper and Joeys all over your house sounds kind of odd.

While Birgir is correct, just reading the post makes clear the rank order. Rudistor being identified as slight overall winner means that the big difference has to be negative. Thus, Jantze's brain damaged friend believes the HDVD comes in last by a wide margin compared to both his horrible favorite and the B22.

Yeah, it is bugging me too. If the musette was legal the other day, then I guess I am a little less upset about one gel at the end of that crazy double d'Huez day. Also, I am pretty sure Porte could have dragged him the last few kilometers even if he really bonked. Plus, Contador was minutes behind yesterday and is over 5 minutes down in total. Still, I'd like it to be completely clean and fair for a fucking change.

The loonies really bug the shit out of me and clearly screwed up some of the leaders on the second ascent of the Alpe. But what a wild stage. Seriously nuts.

It was the Grand Opening Gala and Claire and I were there. Here is the link for the entire show: http://www.npr.org/event/music/169066093/live-from-sfjazz-center-opening Claire looked fantastic, by the way (even with the weird angle in the photo):

Stick with the black, it looks way better that way. Purists be damned!

I guess Sacramento is considered part of California... Welcome home Steve!

Watched Mariano Rivera get an unprecedented solo walk to the mound on his 13th and final all star appearance with the crowd and both teams cheering him on. That was pretty impressive and moving.

Awesome closer for the vacation and more specifically that dessert as an amazing looking closer for a great looking meal. Cheers!

The UC300B is still in use, unlike the stands. If you need any VCRs, a DVD burner, or used light fixtures, you can drop by Mayberry and pick those up too!

It certainly crossed my mind landing at SFO for the first time since the accident.
