  1. Good to hear that Chris! Nice, Mike! I was going to write something about gaining in length but this is a family forum, after all. I hope Duggeh enjoys taking over your room!
  2. Screaming Blue Messiahs -- Gun Shy (vinyl) In 1986, I went on my first semi-date with my wife and her sister to see the Messiahs and the opener was The Celibate Rifles. I think I bought this record at the show. The Unitarian minister who spent 60 minutes learning our life histories in advance of marrying us was fascinated by this tidbit and actually recounted the story during the wedding ceremony. Funny moment.
  3. Sonic 302 accessories! Nice.
  4. Martha and the Muffins -- Danseparc (vinyl)
  5. I will see if I can retrieve the message without ruining everything. I have original vinyl of Knife right here, which is what I was going to listen to when I saw the 10". Have you heard the live "Jump" before elsewhere? Good stuff. Aztec Camera - Knife
  6. That would not be acceptable, so I will accede to your demands.
  7. I think that is exactly what he said.
  8. I actually wrote out effectively your first sentence, which is what I guessed you meant, but then decided against posting that in favor of the smart-assy version.
  9. Aztec Camera -- Backwards and Forwards (Live 10" vinyl)
  10. What do you mean by this? It lacks extension up and down but the mids sound nice? Just curious, as someone who was vying for one recently, considering taking advantage of your weakness, should it arise, and planning to have the DIYT2 built at some point.
  11. Good luck cramming moar booze into those bags! Looking forward to hearing your tales of Florida fun next weekend.
  12. @Stretch: Thought you might like that one. Brian Eno -- Ambient 1: Music For Airports (vinyl)
  13. Ultravox -- Rage In Eden (more old vinyl)
  14. I thought about sending you a PM, but I am just as happy to say publicly that I would trust you with this project without reservation or hesitation, Nate. Maybe I am just uninformed -- well, I am but you know what I mean -- but other than being meticulous like you are and having the soldering and other related skills that you possess, what is different about this project compared to your current 'stat effort or many other high-end projects you have completed successfully?
  15. Dr. G- Please put me down for a complete setup, and I've always wanted something with an RK50 so I will plan accordingly once somebody agrees to build this beast for me. Let me know when you want funds, but I appreciate you fronting costs for now. Thanks, Al
  16. Midnight Oil -- Diesel and Dust (good old 1987 vinyl)
  17. Same here, but it still may. Claire has the CDs now (instrumental disc in the deluxe set) so I can play it on the home system rather than just Rhapsody at work.
  18. I believe the mono box is still limited, but just not as limited and not numbered as some places thought it would be (Acoustic Sounds, for example).
  19. That's how they were recorded and will sound the way they are supposed to instead of the false stereo versions made from the original monos.

    Beyer T1

I think Beyers suck, but I said it first on Head-Fi. These look like a huge pile of suck, and for $1300 and a rip-off ring radiator design I think one of these will be required for the third place German headphone company:
  21. Glad you noticed.
  22. I like it and just bought the deluxe version for my wife for her birthday. Need to listen more but it is definitely good.
  23. Road dogs?
  24. Basically sampling things on the iMod -> SR-71 -> JH|13 and then plan to substitute the Duet into the equation. Recently playing: Iron & Wine -- Woman King Kaki King -- Steamed Juicy Little Bun Kraftwerk -- Pocket Calculator, Numbers XTC -- Supidly Happy American Analog Set -- Know By Heart
