  1. This book isn't for jazz aficionados, but it is a good introduction to listening to and understanding jazz.
  2. Alright, some basic questions on a couple things, and then a request to figure out a price for something. First, what is the difference (quality, SQ, sound signature, other) between the SR-Lambda Signatures and the Lambda Nova Signatures? Second, same question as between the T1, T1W and T1S energisers? Last, what is a fair price for the ED-1 Diffuse Field Equalizer? Boring, I know, but I am curious about doing a deal with a guy and I am not sure what I am dealing with.
  3. We should have plenty of fun with the 307A tomorrow. Definitely sorry you won't be there, but glad to see you are above water enough to be posting and even moderating today. My puppy is dragging me down, so the thought of having a newborn right now is mind-boggling.
  4. Sorry, buddy, I thought that got answered somewhere already. Todd sent one for the meet, and I unfortunately do not get to keep it forever and ever like I want to. It is actually right in front of me in a big box in my office. I am tempted to set it up today for the hell of it, but I will probably wait because I get to play with it for a few days after the meet.
  5. New Stereolab? What is the album title, because I have not seen anything new. EDIT: Never mind, here is the new album due August 19:
  6. Damn Mike, are you going to cook those right on top of the Hibachis? Congrats, those look sweet and almost Menacing. Have you heard them yet?
  7. Bolivar Cuban. Thanks to JP#s
  8. No, active speakers would be welcome. Should I bring M-audio BX5a? More crap to tote, but I am thinking that I will just bring the TTVJ 307A instead of the Beta. Bad idea?
  9. Have a fantastic birthday Earl basking in all the tube glow you can muster (which is a hell of a lot )! Cheers!
  10. Say no more, say no more. A nod's as good as a wink to a blind bat.
  11. Thanks Steve. That's a lot of watts, but I once had the K1000s hooked up to MBL mono blocks without any trouble.
  12. Sad news, indeed. He was awesome, even if a little wilted in the last comedy special I saw (only part of). R.I.P. Good of you to remember, Boomy. I forgot too! Oh yeah, shit, piss, fuck, cunt, cocksucker, motherfucker, and tits!
  13. Hah! I get to hear that beasty before all of you fools! Maybe I should bring my k1000 with bare-ended equinox. Will it blow up my cans?
  14. No help, but I like your rhyme.
  15. I was about to post only the HB ED part when he decided to act condescending and dickish unnecessarily. That's all. If nobody else thinks it is dickish, then my bad.
  16. So do I. It's just that Monk can't seem to say anything without being a dick.
  17. And you act like a dick. HB ED
  18. You'll have to listen to this over and over on your Pico:
  19. Electrostatic amps are balanced by nature, but this one does not have balanced XLR input or a switch to go from RCA to XLR. Justin also said it has one single GoldPoint volume pot, so it is not duel stepped attenuators like normal. He also said it was originally made and sold in 2004 to somebody in so cal. That is the info available to you.
  20. So, you mean you promise to have it done and delivered by December? I need to buy one and show off with it by then.
