  1. Are you going to sign up for the new Sirius content when available (assuming it doesn't get stolen again)?
  2. I don't know shit about innards, really, but what is up with the piggy-back caps?

    Burning Amp!

Good work Grahame! I wonder if we will all end up piled into your apt. talking amps with Mikhail late into the night again... As far as format goes, I think it would be a good time to plan for a real meet. Doesn't have to be promoted too heavily and if the usual suspects show up then it would be good.
  5. Maybe I am missing something about Blackmore's life, but that is clearly in a bar. He has not said that is his collection, but I am curious now. I have 5 of the tequilas pictured right now. Maybe I will drink some tonight because it is hot here.
  6. That's an ugly-ass orgy, right there.
  7. He didn't do ear impressions because he just tried the universals! Cain't you read Boze?! Just kidding.
  8. Circular hole cutter tech is back in business! As for me, I just bought two tickets to see Sigur Ros at the Greek Theater in Berkeley in October. wOOt!
  9. Yeah, I meant to say that too!
  10. Congrats Pete!
  11. We are further and further down the road of off-topic, but Mikhail has THE COOLEST pcb I have ever seen for the SDS-XLR. It is shaped like a record and is about 11" in diameter with a center hole and all. It is extremely thick and heavy and cool. I wish I had a damn picture of it. The lower echelon now all have pcbs, I think.
  12. Man, Evan, you go for all the geek talents, don't you?! I remember looking at your website after CanJam, and I noticed that you went to Manistee over the summer. I was in Leland about 70 miles North up the peninsula. Great country up there.
  13. Good luck Evan.
  14. That would stop you from traveling?
  15. Mine are disabled on the SDS, although I think it is active on the Beta. Cool. My SDS has no PCBs in it from the pics I have seen.
  16. I only meant if you liked an amp that used the stupid things you could correct it. Still As for the XLRs, I have never had any issues with them coming loose or whatever. And to use this thread for a completely unrelated question, how difficult would it be to convert, say, an SDS-XLR, with a single 2x3-pin XLR HP jack into 2 separate 4-pin XLR HP jacks? Sorry for the off-topic-ness, but I have wondered this many times.
  17. I hate those things too, but you can disable them, can't you? Mikhail usually pulls out the locking mechanism on his XLRs because those are an unnecessary pain in the ass too.
  18. Best. Birthday. Evar? Do tell...
  19. Very curious to hear what you think about your newest source tkam. Positive Feedback, Dagogo (whatever that is) and even Steve Motherfuckin Hoffman all seem to love the 9100es. Looking forward to your impressions. Enjoy it!
  20. Why the ?
  21. No comprendo. Tone is downloaded and it took seconds for mine to be complete.
  22. Oh, yeah, looking at the Tone article and the "Afterward" by Dorgay reminds me that the reviewer did all his listening single-ended! One of the very greatest balanced amplifiers of all time and he listened out of the 1/4" jack.
  23. Too true. How many times have they started stupid fights that just make them look like retards?
  24. /me *hides ALO iMod dock*
  25. I haven't looked at the mag yet, but I saw an advance copy when I was at Todd's. Their reviews are weak, and his emphasis on how you would need to "hide" the the TTVJ amp from your audiophile friends seemed awkwardly naive, plus stupid. There is another review in the works that will have a little more depth and get a much broader exposure.
