February 23, 201214 yr http://6moons.com/audioreviews/focal/1.html Lower end model but apparently will look at doing better models as well. Interesting.
February 23, 201214 yr As headphone sales exceed speaker sales by a fair margin these days, I look for more speaker companies to set their logs in this fire.
February 23, 201214 yr As headphone sales exceed speaker sales by a fair margin these days, I look for more speaker companies to set their logs in this fire. Me too. I never thought the Marshall's (not really in this group) or the B&W versions took headphones too seriously. This one might hopefully be different. I'm a Focal fan, though, so maybe I'm just rooting for my own goals... Edited February 23, 201214 yr by bhjazz
February 23, 201214 yr Well I'd love to see a serious effort from Thiel. And if Magnepan could develop a great ribbon headphone...
February 23, 201214 yr Looks plush. I never bought into using full-size headphones for commute or travel, though. Still, I've seen Beats at the gym, so maybe I'm just weird by normal people standards.
February 24, 201214 yr Interesting. Did you notice that the second ad down on his page was for headphone products? Changing world.
February 24, 201214 yr They wasted all those words on the Focal headphone and didn't even listen to it?
February 24, 201214 yr They wasted all those words on the Focal headphone and didn't even listen to it? That would be like having a conversation with a model. Past the good looks, the rest would be a let down.
February 25, 201214 yr They have a preview section where they give you a heads up of products in-house that are under review. A full-blown review is probably forthcoming....at least I would certainly hope so. An all out assault on the headphone hi-end from companies such as Focal would be quite interesting. As fuel prices wander into ridiculous heights, speaker manufacturers might find some added profitability in shipping more cans than 200lb+ speakers.
February 25, 201214 yr .... profitability in shipping more cans than 200lb+ speakers. Because people that buy $75k speakers are worried about $500 shipping.
February 25, 201214 yr Because people that buy $75k speakers are worried about $500 shipping. I was thinking more in terms of the mfg's shipping costs to their various dealers, although certainly that cost is buried into the end-user cost. By the way, still enjoying your B22 amp.
February 26, 201214 yr No Beryllium drivers. I think I'll have to pass despite the 6moons siren call.
