Quite popular in parts of Texas as well. My family loved potato pancakes, and I always assumed it was because of my Father's German heritage. Fredericksburg, TX has some of the best German food I've ever had. Now I'm hungry!

...AND IT WAS DELICIOUS.

I'm definitely going back there.  It's only about 20 minutes due South of me on Route 1.  Very authentic, they even spoke to me in German.  "Auf wiedersehen", indeed.
