October 19, 200718 yr comment_58577 I assume frontpanelexpress.com is who I want to use if I want a 3.5"x2" engraved faceplate made for my amp? I'm messing around with their software right now, any tips? Thanks Report
October 19, 200718 yr Author comment_58582 my name goes on it. Yes... I'll be making a separate one just for that Report

October 30, 200718 yr comment_61081 I would look around the net. You could do some comparison shopping. Report

October 30, 200718 yr comment_61096 I'm looking into custom end pannels for my Millet Max and I believe that things remembered will be cheaper than frontpanel express. They'll let you drill everything before they engrave as well. Report

November 19, 200718 yr comment_67714 You can ask FPE for samples, so you can see what the various engravings and dyes look like. But yeah, FPE is pretty amateur looking stuff, but at least you don't get raped on set up fees. Report

Thanks for mentioning this Report
November 21, 200718 yr comment_69246 One drawback for fpe is their single font. I think it looks fine, but if you want, say, a different font, no dice. Unless they've corrected that now, which would be cool. Report

Unless they've corrected that now, which would be cool. FPE has a number of fonts to choose from, and you set the size you want. If you want something that they don't have, you could always create it in some other software and save in HPGL format and then import into FPE. Report

Brilliant! Thank you! Report
February 23, 200818 yr comment_99264 Digging up an old thread, but how is frontpanelexpress' turnaround time (and cost) for faceplate? I'm thinking of getting one made for my beta22 (and for its PS), assuming I can figure out their design software and other details out. Report

I'm thinking of getting one made for my beta22 (and for its PS), assuming I can figure out their design software and other details out. I was reasonably happy with their turnaround with my front panel, tho I don't remember exactly how long it took. They do nice work, too. Report
February 23, 200818 yr comment_99268 My turnaround was pretty quick, I've had a few things made by them. I have another couple of things on the burner still to go. Report
February 23, 200818 yr comment_99269 It seems like it took about a week and a half for mine. Their software is pretty easy, just play around for a bit until you figure it out. Report
February 23, 200818 yr comment_99271 Cool. I guess I'll go play around with their software. Of course, I'd still have to take off the current front panel from the beta22, which I hope won't be too hard. Report

February 23, 200818 yr comment_99284 You have friends who can help with that, Haj. Good point - at least the panel for the power supply is real easy to take off as there's really nothing attached to it. Report
