October 15, 201015 yr I wish people would post up high iso RAWs for the D7000 already. Seems that everyone only posts up JPEGs. Even the JPEG samples look really, really good, though. Edited October 15, 201015 yr by Salt Peanuts
October 16, 201015 yr Nikon D7000 Review and Impressions Not so good. Interesting. The sample images I had seen were handheld (and not tack sharp) and I'd been primarily looking at noise in high ISO images.
October 17, 201015 yr Made a trip to the Dallas Zoo today. I guess I am making the tour of Americas Zoos.
October 17, 201015 yr Nice shots, Jeff. I'm jealous - I love going to a zoo but ones around here leave a lot to be desired. How does the Dallas zoo compare to Bronx zoo?
October 17, 201015 yr I really liked the Dallas Zoo. Seemed to be laid out better to cut way down on the wandering around between animal areas. Not as many animals but better photo opportunities in Dallas.
October 17, 201015 yr Author I haven't posted any photos here in ages. All of the above except for the top photo are from one particularly crazy night at a friend's house. Observant Head-Casers will remember I bought a pair of ADJ Jellyfish LED blinkenlights a few months back.
October 17, 201015 yr So many pretty lights.... I especially like the first one and the blue man. How is he so blue?
October 17, 201015 yr That shot with the light bouncing off the disco ball is awesome. What lens was that?
October 18, 201015 yr Had some time to kill before my flight this afternoon so we stopped off at the Fort Worth Botanical Garden for, of course, some pictures of flowers.
October 20, 201015 yr One of the fun parts of living in a big city is you never know what you'll run into on any given day. Like a decked out elephant in the middle of a city park.
October 23, 201015 yr Found that the 15 Fisheye makes a decent little wide angle on a crop sensor. And shot some boring fungus shots while I was out.
October 25, 201015 yr Anybody buy the S95 from Canon yet. I am thinking about buying one and passing on my SX210IS to a coworker but I do not know anyone that has one yet. Any opinions?
October 25, 201015 yr I bought one due to losing my S90 at a club in Taiwan. I have it sitting at home, haven't had a chance to use it since I've been jetlagged. It's basically a S90 with some minor updates. I loved my S90, so there's no reason I won't love my S95.
October 25, 201015 yr The s95 should get better iso and dynamic range. It's about the best P&S you can get. Played with it but don't own it. Personally, I never need a P&S.
October 25, 201015 yr I carry a P&S everyday just in case. I really like the 14x Optical Zoom on my current Canon P&S and thought it did really well when I used it at CanJam, but I like new stuff more than I like old stuff.
October 25, 201015 yr Xavier's 5th birthday party... he got a new toy. Zoe and her Trail of Tickets The other side of the first picture. 'Twas a good day. **BRENT**
October 25, 201015 yr Looks like he is already a better photographer than you. Heh... and I'm OK with that. I think he's going to have a ton of fun with that kit. Rebel XT with 18-55 IS lens. I wish that would have been around for MY 5th birthday... **BRENT**
October 25, 201015 yr How is the control dial on the S95? The one on S90s I've played with turned/moved waaaay too easily while in use.
October 26, 201015 yr How is the control dial on the S95? The one on S90s I've played with turned/moved waaaay too easily while in use. The new one is clicky.
