Maybe he'll bring new toys. ;D

It's almost a guarantee that he'll bring something new, never seen before, and forget whatever amp it was that he was supposed to deliver to the person who's been waiting for longer than most would deem reasonable.

Here's a chance to see if he's really changing his business model a bit. I will say that he brought nothing totally new to the June NorCal meet. He brought the Odyssey but we saw it at CanJam. He also brought an SDS-XLR (or something similar) that he was delivering. So maybe he really is fixing things.

Justin, are you bringing the BHSE prototype? I would think that Ray will have his stat prototype and it would be interesting to compare the two.

Wow...wish I can attend the Southern Cal meet. Andy, enjoy the meet for me.

Only about a week until the LAX Can Meet on Saturday, October 18, 2008. Interested in attending the event and yet to acquire advance admission? Here’s a very important cutoff date to remember, Thursday, October 16, 2008 is the last day to purchase advance admission at the special rate –- e-tickets: $15 per person; and MOT e-table fee: $89 per vendor. After this date, admission can only be acquired at the event at a small premium -- tickets: $20 per person; and MOT table fee: $100 per vendor. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me via PM.

some cool news!

EMI/Capital is likely to offer door prizes to a few random and lucky e-ticket-holders.

Probably only funny on the SH forums :P

Geez, is there going to be enough space for all these people and their crazy headphone gear?

  • Author

yes and yes...

more specifically, smyth has a private room for their speaker/headphone demo and the general meet has two rooms totaling about 1700 square feet with over 120 feet of table space.

OK, that covers Frank Cooter's gear but what about the rest of us?

I can tell you that so far Luxman P-1 is sounding pretty impressive, very impressive. Granted it is fed by the Capitole MKII playing a LFF remaster but I am kind of floored by the music I am experiencing. I will post more details when I have a free moment but I think I should leave the bulk of the impressions for the attendees of the So Cal meet.

Do we really need anything else?

Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow is the last day to purchase e-tickets for the upcoming So Cal meet at the LAX Hilton. Purchasing tickets before October 16, 2008 at 11:59 PM locks in the $15 per person admission and the EMI/Capital door prizes. Thereafter, admission tickets will be available at the venue for $20 per person.

There are two advance payment options:

pm me your email address and I will send an eticket for you to purchase; or

send payment to my PayPal account - address provided via pm.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me...
