September 1, 200817 yr I was at mitsuwa once, and a pack of kids rolled in. One was like "look guys it's the naruto ramen!" All I could do was smile and look at my friend who watches that show. I still haven't quite developed a taste for cold soba. Maybe I need to try it at a few other places. Or I could just vastly prefer chinese style cold noodles.
September 2, 200817 yr There's this real good ramen place on 45th Street between 2nd and 3rd AVE. I was feinding for it last night, lol.
September 2, 200817 yr Okay, I went to Santouka on sunday and had a large bowl of the shio ramen. It really hit the spot The roast pork does just melt in your mouth. I do like the spicy miso ramen at Shinsengumi, yummy.
September 2, 200817 yr Woops, would like to make a correction. 45th Street between Lexington and 3rd. Menchanko-Tei, I really like their Hakata Ramen.
September 2, 200817 yr Everything closes down so early in the South Bay of LA. But in Torrance, there is a Japanese Diner that is open until 3am. But it's their Ramen and Mabodon Lunch special I like the most. It's affordable and tasty. Although, my wife is embarassed to go there now, because we were eating lunch there when her water broke. -Ed

September 4, 200817 yr @zippy2001: ever hit up ebisu ramen for their lunch specials? Very standard fare, but a lot of food for $8.
September 4, 200817 yr ah. sorry to do this. Anyone hit up foo foo tei or tamaya in hacienda heights before? Wanted to enlist your opinions. Yelp ain't exactly always trustworthy. I know this place ain't gonna be better than santouka, but Irvine's far, wondering if these places are good enough.
September 4, 200817 yr Had a nice big bowl of Hakkata Ramen. I'm going back tomorrow for their Sara-Udon.

If you like either one, great, you've found a nearby place to get ramen. If not, at least you know to keep looking. Actually, you should keep looking anyway. It's always fun to find a new place.
September 4, 200817 yr But Ken, he is incapable of making up his own mind. He's from the current generation who learns his opinions from others.

September 5, 200817 yr But Ken, he is incapable of making up his own mind. He's from the current generation who learns his opinions from others. Do you think that's a good way to get opinions? I'm not sure.
September 5, 200817 yr I just ate some spaghetti. I tossed it all up in a frying pan and my roommate said that I was so Asian for doing it that way.
