I've been playing around the last few days, going from speakers to headphones. Its given me an idea of why some prefer speakers.

Even with Insignias, I get a better sense of how hard the instruments are being played, how hard they are digging into the drums, etc. Its showing up better with Steely Dan than with the older jazz recordings though.

I guess headphones do have more compression. I still do get something different from the headphones though.

But right now I'm really digging the larger dynamics of the speakers.

Anything to beat cabin fever :) (probably just jinxed myself into losing power later)
