One of my favorite ambient dub albums, even after 15 years. Mat Jarvis's ethereal analogue string patches and minimalist portamento melodies are the stuff of legend. What I'm realizing now, with the advantage of a decade and a half of reflection, is that the song structure of the more beat-oriented tracks is essentially oldskool UK rave, slowed down and spaced out to Biosphere-like levels.

That's a killer album.

I wasn't happy when I had to stop it half way through and go to a seminar.

I should listen to that again. The only thing I ever listen to is "Fear Satan" (usually via Kicking a Dead Pig).

I imagine listening to that album without listening to "Fear Satan" is kinda sucky.

Two NPR desk top concerts. At least Brooklyn Fire was interesting.

Moved on to the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast.
