May 27, 200917 yr It isn't a real cable debate until someone gets banned garroted with 12-gauge speaker wire. Also not volunteering.

May 27, 200917 yr I can't imagine going back to unwieldy commercial cables. I can wrap my cables around two fingers and they weigh next to nothing. Yeah, well I can wrap my cables around one finger. And they won't give you cancer like the ones made by that SuckItALO guy. [/MOTMOTMOT]
May 27, 200917 yr Done per request FTGDMFW. Regarding cables, all I can say is I bought my Heartland Cables RCA's ($30) over a year ago for my first amp, and they've yet to leave my rig. The only reason I'm considering getting a new pair of speaker cables is because I want/need bananas on both ends.
May 28, 200917 yr Yeah, well I can wrap my cables around one finger. And they won't give you cancer like the ones made by that SuckItALO guy. [/MOTMOTMOT] Which finger?
May 28, 200917 yr I'm thinking of trying some of the Emm Labs cables. Whatever the hell they're called.
May 28, 200917 yr IsoPath? Simple. A cable connects two different components, right? Problem is, different components invariably have differing ground potentials. Power up these components and an error current is generated in the ground return path. Since this path is close to the signal conductor, an electrical coupling occurs. Between what? The error current and the audio signal. Not good. Why? It pollutes the audio signal. Trouble is, this is exactly what happens in every coaxial and twisted pair audio cable we
May 28, 200917 yr yeah, thats it. It sounds like they thought out the dielectric part, at least. Of course I don't know what the hell any of it means, but it sounds slightly less b.s. encrusted than alot of other cables. That and they seem to go for neutrality, rather than romance, which is more inline with my thinking.
May 28, 200917 yr Speaking of Emm Labs, anyone hear the new Dac2 yet? Its existence completely slipped my mind until earlier today.
May 28, 200917 yr i took pity and let you out of jail a little early. Thanks man. Was going through withdrawals. Much longer and I would have maybe got some work done or had a conversation w/ my wife or something equally horrible.
May 28, 200917 yr I just swapped out a 50 cent USB cable for a $50 one. It's definitely moar purpler. Other than that ... hard to say.
