July 10, 200916 yr Shoplifting a kitten pales in comparison to one of the stories I saw on the local news last evening. Cat set on fire survives You may not want to click the link if you are squeamish....
July 10, 200916 yr I dream of finding scumbags like that in the process of beginning a crime like that. It would be worth jail time, if a jury so decided.
July 10, 200916 yr Tel Aviv is a city overrun with cats, but most people are rather fond of them. Cat food all over the place, and usually a small pile of (living) cat underneath or lying on top of every car. Here are two pics of my favourite local, who never hesitates to say hello to me, and sometimes even comes with for a little walk... And one micro cat
July 10, 200916 yr That's a cool story. I'd love to live in a city with lots of vagrant but friendly cats.
July 10, 200916 yr The island I live on has tons of stray cats. At around 5:00 you can drive around and watch all the businesses and private citizens putting out cat food. I feed about 5-10 cats myself. They keep the snakes away, and they're safe from coyotes inside my fence.
July 10, 200916 yr Our cats are a lasting gift from the completely failed attempt by the British to control the rat population. There were originally lots of rats. Now there are lots of rats and lots of cats.
July 10, 200916 yr I just donated $20 towards medical care for "Hadley the burned cat" at their local Humane Society's website. The Humane Society of Kent County | Make a Donation
July 10, 200916 yr great link, i just donated 20 bucks as well. For every person that donates I won't pee in the sink.
July 10, 200916 yr Author I'm not much for cats but a girl that works for me is breeding them and two were born about 10 days ago. Those are the cutest things ever. My kitty (yes, I already think of him as mine) was touch and go for a while -- she had found a local recipient, but then changed her mine mind. My cat was touch and go for a while -- she was acting constipated (left as an exercise for the reader to determine what, exactly, I mean by that). She's all better nao.
July 11, 200916 yr great link, i just donated 20 bucks as well. For every person that donates I won't pee in the sink. Good enough motivation for me!
July 11, 200916 yr They're gorgeous! I've never seen Orange kittens without tabby stripes. They are Abyssinian so no stripes. Just got word that one of them is named after me.
August 12, 200916 yr Sieg Heil. LOL...Not realy my first choice since he's still waiting for an official name (his current file at the vet office is ''Minou masqu
August 13, 200916 yr Cha-cha would make a great cat's name. No doubt about it unless you live in a French location/culture. In that case ''Cha-cha'' would be exactly the same as if you called a pet ''Cat-cat'' in an English location.... Amicalement P.S. Currently we have 3 names left on the final list: Gropius (thinking of Walter) Picasso Merlin
August 13, 200916 yr But "Cha-cha" is easier to say... Maybe but I tested it with our little friend and look what reaction I got from the use of ''Cha-cha'' name*.... Amicalement * In fact all other 3 names got a similar reaction...
August 13, 200916 yr No doubt about it unless you live in a French location/culture. In that case ''Cha-cha'' would be exactly the same as if you called a pet ''Cat-cat'' in an English location.... We have a Sun Conure whose official name is Sunny. However, we just call him "Bird-bird" now. Also, "Cha-cha" in English is pronounced with a hard "ch" sound, so it sounds a lot different than "Chat-chat" (soft ch) does. Amicalement P.S. Currently we have 3 names left on the final list: Gropius (thinking of Walter) Picasso Merlin What? You're not going to even consider "Adolf"?
August 13, 200916 yr Oups!!! This is the original pic in the post number 67...(Got a bit too much distracted cleaning on Photobucket. Sorry about that...) Amicalement
