Had to have another Preakness with a little more Benedictine and it was more sweet than hot this time. I like this mix and plan to experiment further.

Mt. Carmel IPA....creamy/malty...hops come on strong at first but quickly fade...tastes like a hoppier/pinier Boddingtons...

Ithaca Caskazilla Red Ale...a powerful red indeed...hope to have this one on tap some time...or at least freshly brewed...add a crispness to this & it'd be dynamite...

Firestone-Walker Double Jack Double IPA....could stand to be slightly hoppier, but should be fine for most...not overly creamy like the Mt. Carmel...closer to balance...

1 tsp Raspberry Syrup

Shake and double strain into a cocktail glass. Express and then garnish with a lemon peel twist.

Couldn't find the original reference to Dinny's Sweet and Hot Manhattanlike drink so I poured myself a Van Winkle Lot B, Carpano Antica, and cherry bitters. Was good and now I am sleepy.
