Flattery will get you everywhere, Shelly, right, Mike? :) :)

;)

Good looking drink Al and Marc (especially the Yolanda and Mai Tai).

*Anvil time* for me: Rum Alexander

This is one delicious cocktail. My husband took one sip of mine and claimed it as his own! I made another and, unfortunately, it was so good that I already finished mine.

1 oz Gosling's dark rum

1/2 oz Marie Brizzard creme de cacao

1/2 oz heavy cream

sprinkles of cinnamon on top

Damn, nice going early birds. The Yolanda looks interesting and the Mai Tai looks seriously kick-ass.

Trying my hand at The Japalac Cocktail

1 oz High West Rendevous Rye

1 oz Dolin Dry Vermouth

1/2 oz Orange Juice

1 tsp Raspberry Syrup

Shake, double strain and garnish with an orange twist

Funny name but tasty.

last night I had a New Holland Chartooka Rye...big fan of ryes, but not a big fan of New Holland...

tonight it was an Orval & a Péché Mortel...& now a Firestone Walker Double Jack...

I've gotten into trouble several times b/c of black seal...

:)

Jim: Looks pretty good, although, the name of that drink is making me crave a martini with japaleno stuffed olives.

Japalac looks promising in a weird way. The rum Alexander looks very tasty, and I can see why you sloshed it down quickly. The brandy version aint half bad neither. ;)

Anvil

Manhattan No. 1 (Savoy)

2 dashes curaçao or maraschino (1 tsp Creole Shrubb)

1 pony whiskey (1 oz. Handy)

1 wineglass vermouth, mixed (1 oz. Carpano and 1 oz Dolin dry)

3 dashes angostura (1 tsp angostura)

2 small lumps of ice

Shake and strain into a claret glass. Put a quarter of lemon in the glass and serve.
