dsavitsk Posted November 30, 2025 Report Posted November 30, 2025 A bit of minimalist droney piano stuff. Quite lovely if you like that sort of thing. https://vantzou-harrison-bennett.bandcamp.com/album/christina-vantzou-michael-harrison-and-john-also-bennett 2
robm321 Posted December 1, 2025 Report Posted December 1, 2025 Such a nice touch on the piano. A well-chosen mix of works. 2
robm321 Posted December 3, 2025 Report Posted December 3, 2025 (edited) I've never been a big Frank Zappa fan. But I can't deny how clever he is. Qobuz has a 1970 playlist that I was listening to, and I liked one of the songs on this album. So, I decided to listen to it. I enjoyed it, kinda. It's short about 40 minutes and that's just about enough. ex. Edited December 3, 2025 by robm321 3

mikeymad Posted December 6, 2025 Report Posted December 6, 2025 I forgot I had a bunch of 1975 (50yo) albums in my queue. so Captain Fantastic And The Brown Dirt Cowboy by Elton John (1975) https://album.link/s73nbgfjm47tw (hey look album link is working again) 🤷♂️ Example: I was going to share the title track which I like so much, but this is just prettier. I grew up with this album, my sister had this. I spent a lot of time with looking at the cover. 4

Dusty Chalk Posted December 8, 2025 Report Posted December 8, 2025 Someone called me out because "Drone" was in my top 5 genres in my Spotify wrapped, so I'm leaning into it and listening to my favourite drone musician of all time, Chris Meloche: https://tidal.com/artist/ARTIST_TOP_TRACKS/view-all?artistId=7876954&moduleId=ARTIST_TOP_TRACKS&moduleIndex=0&type=TRACK_LIST

Jon Caramanica, NYTimes Pop Critic, Best Album of 2025 1. Effie, ‘Pullup to Busan 4 More Hyper Summer It’s Gonna Be a Fuckin Movie’ The rising Korean hyperpop star Effie is a heretical innovator, and this six-song EP — her best music in a year of several releases — feels like a deeply logical eruption. Imbibing from the spirit of 100 gecs, the freedom of 2hollis, and the pop scramble that often defines the best K-pop (a scene Effie exists outside of), her approach adds up to the sound of right this second. And also, undoubtedly, of tomorrow. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/12/05/arts/music/best-albums-2025.html
mikeymad Posted December 22, 2025 Report Posted December 22, 2025 I read "Imbibing" "Spirit" and "Scramble" 3
Dusty Chalk Posted December 23, 2025 Report Posted December 23, 2025 Right now? The Road to Hell. In general? Lots and lots of Chris Rea. Tasty guitar playing, tasty guitar tone, tasty singing (Ohmigosh, that voice...), tasty songwriting. Just...tasty everything. Dude was peak. 2
