October 17, 2025Oct 17 ^^ okay Mr. Deep Dive... Cool stuff. I still have not subscribed to KEXP channel yet, I think it is just because they post too much for me. And I have priorities, like Irish people eating things, and movie reaction videos... anyway, released today. Melancholia by Rick Wakeman (2025) https://album.link/wxbctpcv6nhgs Example: 125th album release.. It's lovely. Solo Piano. Shows his deep understanding of melody and themes. A little mellow? maybe, but it is Melancholia.

November 1, 2025Nov 1 Participating in the Spotify Boycott, so cancelled my Spotify subscription and renewed my Tidal. Have to figure everything out all over again. Started, of course, with Al1ce's latest, As Above, So Below. Turns out, they're already working on another dimension. As Within, So Without.
November 5, 2025Nov 5 Hand Cannot Erase by Steven Wilson (2015) https://open.qobuz.com/album/gq9emxrfbaxdb Example: So a friend shared a list of top 25 audiophile albums. Most would be what you would expect, but there were a few I didn't know, so I gave them a listen. This is a good prog album. Audiophile? No. But very good. I have heard a few things from Wilson, I will be checking out a few more.

I really love "Ancestral" off that album. Learned that huge riff in the middle. Mikey, I recommend The Raven That Refused to Sing and Other Stories next. PS Your friend obviously has excellent taste.
