^^ okay Mr. Deep Dive... :D Cool stuff.

I still have not subscribed to KEXP channel yet, I think it is just because they post too much for me. And I have priorities, like Irish people eating things, and movie reaction videos...

anyway, released today.

Example:

125th album release.. It's lovely. Solo Piano. Shows his deep understanding of melody and themes.  A little mellow? maybe, but it is Melancholia.

When the background singer is totally overqualified and decides to take over the song.

^^ this. It is very good, such an early release @ 1951. Thanks Rob.

Noise floor is a little high (hiss), but it made up for by getting very loud and being a great performance.

Participating in the Spotify Boycott, so cancelled my Spotify subscription and renewed my Tidal.  Have to figure everything out all over again.  Started, of course, with Al1ce's latest, As Above, So Below.

Turns out, they're already working on another dimension.  As Within, So Without.

So a friend shared a list of top 25 audiophile albums. Most would be what you would expect, but there were a few I didn't know, so I gave them a listen. This is a good prog album. Audiophile? No. But very good. I have heard a few things from Wilson, I will be checking out a few more.

I have that on vinyl. Brings me to tears every time I listen to it.

Same.  That song.  Just...so bleak.  The video is amazing.

I really love "Ancestral" off that album.  Learned that huge riff in the middle.

Mikey, I recommend The Raven That Refused to Sing and Other Stories next.

PS  Your friend obviously has excellent taste.
