Torpedo Posted December 31, 2025 Report Posted December 31, 2025 Hoping for a much better 2026 than its predecessor. 5 1

mikeymad Posted January 12 Report Posted January 12 Double Vision by Foreigner (1978) https://open.qobuz.com/album/0603497923533 (looks like Songlink does not really work anymore) Example: I remember this being a harder album with Double Vision and Hot Blooded. But it has a lot of delicate and subtle ballads, like example. Enjoyable album, I thought this was in the 80's, but I am remembering Foreigner 4. 3
mikeymad Posted January 13 Report Posted January 13 Virgo Red by Roy Ayers Ubiquity (1973) https://open.qobuz.com/album/0060252708373 Example: Vibraphone type of day - works so well. 1
mikeymad Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 in contrast. Bad Brains by Bad Brains (1982) https://open.qobuz.com/album/cc8ibgp6uc1mc Example: ^^ ha - age restriction - not sure why it is just the nice tune "Pay to Cum"... Actually, more of a diverse album than I would have thought of when I just think of Bad Brains. With mellow and melody based tracks and of course reggae: 1
mikeymad Posted January 16 Report Posted January 16 Neujahrskonzert 2026 / New Year's Concert 2026 / Concert du Nouvel An 2026 by Wiener Philharmonic Orchestra (2026) https://open.qobuz.com/album/nhabo81gvrobc Example: Nice recording and all the Waltzes that you can waltz to. 1

HiWire Posted January 23 Report Posted January 23 (edited) Megadeth - Rust in Peace (1990) Some of this album was re-recorded for the 2004 remaster, according to internet hearsay. Edited January 23 by HiWire 2
robm321 Posted January 23 Report Posted January 23 Courtney Marie Andrews - Valentine https://open.qobuz.com/album/hny90dvm03jlc She has a, Joni Mitchell, Aimee Mann, expressive innocence, and her songwriting is equally great. It grows on you the more you listen as well. Simply put, I has a new favorite. 2 2
blessingx Posted January 23 Report Posted January 23 (edited) I listened to it this morning after you posted a song last night. Thanks for linking and promising! Her more simple, more country-leaning 2020 Old Flowers was HUGE here as we stumbled through early pandemic feelings. You may want to give it a listen if you haven't already. Al saw her, if I remember correctly, as the silly audience ignored the stage. Edited January 24 by blessingx 2 1
