    Hi all, I'm going to do a board run for Dr Gilmore's latest projects (KGSSHV, Dynahi Rev A and DynaFET) so if anyone is interested, please sign up here. The KGSSHV will be the latest revision.

I can't believe we are reaching 100 sets of KGSSHV... What a number!

Since we have different kinds of boards, I'll try to call the PCB factory to talk about this. I'm hoping for a 'stable' price for each kind. Wouldn't be nice if the KGSSHV boards' price is low, but the Dynafet's is extremely high.

If everything goes as my expectation, the boards should be in everybody's hands within 5 weeks from now. That's quite optimistic though. Shipping time may vary a lot.

Somebody has to start begging Dr Gilmore to do a run for the teflon Stax jacks.... *run away*

Please make a prototype and have someone test it. 100 boards is too big of a risk in my opinion.

Agreed. A extra wait to ensure that the boards are perfect is well worth it.

No way i have enough time to make that many more stax jacks.

to work perfectly with single fets, and upside down dual fet,

new version should be checked for errors.

someone needs to check the side mount kgsshv amp board for

errors just in case i messed something up when i pushed stuff

around.

someone needs to check the power supply board against the

schematic to make sure i did not make any mistakes there either.

prototype run for kgsshv power supply not a bad idea.

Does that mean plays music, or is there some sort of technical meaning to the phrase?

how are we going to source enough 2sa1968 and lsk386 for that number of boards?

Somehow in the many versions of the boards, the dual fet ended up upside down.

Absolutely no idea how that happened. The board works fine and i've been listening

to it for months now. When i pushed components around to shrink the side mount

board, i may have made a mistake, or re-routed something to the wrong place

so its a better idea for someone to check against the schematic. After working

on all the boards for so long, i can easily miss a mistake that would be obvious

to anyone that just looked at it for 15 minutes.

I must have spent 100 hours on the attenuator board. I'm glad that one came out

perfect because with 6 layers, a mistake in the middle is not repairable.

When i go to bed at night and close my eyes, if i still see the board layout, its

time to give it a break for a week or two. The blue polution really is a problem.

i would be willing to place an order to have the teflon stax jacks machined, if someone can locate the pins at the right price

Try to contact CMC audio directly for a quote, they might be able to give you a better price than wonderco_buy.

But there were 19 different versions. 2 layer, 4 layer, 6 layer

all parts on one side, parts on both sides...

the files cost tens of thousands, but the labor is cheap

CMC is the company that make those teflon tube sockets: http://www.cmc-audio...-sockets-c.html

I just sent them an email asking about the pricing for those pins. Hopefully it'd be cheaper than buying from the guy on fleabay.

Also, according to their FAQ, they can do OEM connectors. Not sure if they could make the Stax jacks though.

I'm in for 2 sets of KGSSHV, 1 onboard, 1 offboards.

Regarding the transformer, I assume people are going with SumR? If we agree with on a configuration with dual primaries for 110/220V we might get a good price as to people buying seperately.
