  2. The issue with any Omega is that they are not that well built so you never know what you are going to get. Some are just fine while others have issues, you can see that with the discussion about different serial ranges sounding different. Now I've owned 30+ units over the years and when they work as they should... they all sound the same. If the "grounding resistors" have broken down internally, internal frame issues, micro cracks in the stator supports and other issues... they will sound different but that's because they are slowly failing and need to be fixed. It's similar to tube rolling while not actually using tubes with similar specs... true shock that they sound different. Those are some nice Omega clones. Where are those from?
  3. Followed up the "facon" with some real "pancetta"/pork belly Not shown various other cooked meats that were very good. We will need to back and work through the menu. Nice al fresco location.

  5. +1 007s user here also if anyone knows where to buy something similar - please let me know somehting like this
  6. Made in Japan (Steven Wilson Remix) by Deep Purple (1972/2025) https://album.link/0b4crwz0vbhdt Thanks to Steven for making this album come 'alive'. And it is worthy of the remix. Rock on.
  7. That Facon looks quite suspect.
  8. Greek Yogurt and Dubai Ice cream
  9. I like the Omega but, as with all rare items, it depends on how bad you want it. Also, have to factor in import fees depending on where you’re at along with running the risk that it could arrive and have an issue. Will you be outside the window to return (if there even is one)?
  10. 1200000 jpy+ is it worth it?
  11. Hotel Breakfast "Bacon" Sarnie
  12. Thanks everyone, really appreciate the support so far. Plan to hit the road again this weekend and log some more miles.

  14. Looks right up there with ouzo....woof HS
  15. Have your bibs yet? #BibsMasterRace
  16. I’ve had fun riding around on the local bike share bikes. Tailbone is getting used to being back on a bike seat. I love walking and hiking but the sense of speed you get on a bike is kind of intoxicating. Next step for me will be to do some weekend rentals of demo bikes from the local bike store. I’m going to try an e-bike and a gravel bike and see what takes.
  17. Complementary dessert and paint stripper or was it raki?
  18. Greek Salad (from the source?) Smoked pork risotto. Both outside, gone nine (o'clock) and the place is jumping. (Well it is tolerably cooler now)
  19. Cure, Paris/Show I haven't listened to the others as much, but these are some of my favourite live albums from Robert Smith & co. Robert Smith at his most vulnerable/heartbreaking -- the song, "Apart", from Paris: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YS6ZyAsUA-w
  20. Ryan Truesdell: Shades of Sound: Gil Evans Project Live at Jazz Standard Vol.2 Very good. I'll be listening to this more. Some background on this project: Recording of July 2025: Shades of Sound: Gil Evans Project Live at Jazz Standard Vol.2
  21. on the golden reference HV you need enough voltage across the 5.1ohm 5W current sense resistor (R11 on the positive rail) to activate the current limit. *If* I remember correctly the stock 5.1 Ohm gives about 90mA and 2.6ohm (two 5.1ohms in parallel) gives about 175mA. V(drop)=IR so you are looking at about 0.09A*5.1Ohm = ~0.46V to activate the current limiter so V/I = R 0.46V/your required current in A = current senses resistor in ohms. This resistor value will probably need some fine tuning and you ideally want to use a 5W part rated for high voltage.

  23. Done as well. Go get ‘em, Nate!
  24. Re:
  25. Done. Enjoy the ride.
  26. ^^ Bummer. I am not sure where Bloomberg comes into play. I guess I should have backed the project to get a physical copy to share. Anyway, The basics are that there is a thriving black market for the AI GPUs in China, and none of it is illegal there. And they explored both the direct smuggling of CPU's into China, and the crazy manufacturing of Non-SKU cards for use using defect cards. I am sure that they will fight this and it could be reposted. With all that, it was a bit long, I think they could have gotten it down to about 2 hours with some proper editing.
  27. Whelp, I got through half of it, but Bloomberg had it taken down before I could make it to Friday. So... how does it end?
