In a scary coincidence, after seeing @mikeymad's post here, I spotted a copy of this at my local Goodwill. I had not heard of this particular album before, nor of Sanborn's passing, but thought the confluence too much to pass up on this, so I had to buy it.

Brad Mehldau - Après Fauré Very different from the Bach II. This is a lot more classical-newagey. Not really my thing but very listenable. As usual it's everywhere and beyond

oh the reasons... Straight To The Heart by David Sanborn (1984) https://album.link/i/81897219 Example: His work with Marcus Miller in the day was top notch. Did a lot of it getting written off as Soundtrack music,... sure. I think soundtracks are awesome.. RIP David.

Dang - David was my player in the 80s and early 90s. I literally had all of these on vinyl except the early '74 taking off. Thanks David - RIP

Very nice underappreciated cameras.

Picked up a Yashicaflex LM with working light meter. And a Bronica 645 ETRSi body and metering finder. Will be a while before I have Bronica shots, as I don’t have lenses yet, but I think that will work. The LM has a much brighter finder, supposedly, than my Yashicaflex C, with better optics on the taking, and a ground glass with a grid. It was $100, so I’m not to worried if it’s no better than what I have.

Completely agree, though I did enjoy and finish Andor. I think it's likely because it's the "hardest" scifi they have attempted. Broadly, I have a hard time suspending disbelief watching Star Wars of any kind. Whole planets speak the same language, or have one notable geographic feature, or support billions of people but merit no more than a throwaway line of dialogue. I always think "what kind of tax revenue must the Empire be collecting to put together yet another moon-sized gun array" and then wondering how such a thing would be structured. I appreciated the smaller scale, the care they put into worlds that didn't interact with the properties from the good movies, and the sort of general Kafka-esque bureaucratic capriciousness it gave to the Empire. My favorite Marvel property was "Jessica Jones" for the same reason. But yeah, the first two movies were good and nothing else since approaches them. They are fundamentally kids movies and I'm fundamentally an adult. I have found new passions and it's a disservice to drag Star Wars along with me.

This thread really dropped off the map. I had to replace the heating element in my old Traeger, but it turned out to be quite easy and very cheap on Amazon. I re-christened the smoker with three racks of baby backs.
