  1. I have not yet grown bored of the GoPro. Or tried to take it apart and broken it. I'm a bit more amazed by the second part, really. goproheart by Lord Nikon 12, on Flickr In the highly unlikely event anyone cares, I shot this from the back, and flipped it which is why the signs are all messed up.
  2. I've been getting some free concerts (streaming, not download) from Qello, and I know there's at least one other Styx fan (Mikey?) so thought I'd share -- doesn't even require signing up (they're trying to promote the snot out of it, so they're actually releasing some entirely for free. Styx Peter Gabriel If you follow them on Facebook, there are others -- Michael McDonald doing Motown, Waylon Jennings being Waylon Jennings, etc. Highly recommended. Feel free to share other services. What you got? There was a place in Amsterdam that used to stream every show they ever had come through their doors, saw The Gathering perform the entirety of Black Light District that way before actually seeing them play it for myself. No, don't remember the name of the venue or the website, alas. Wouldn't mind seeing that again, goddamn, I love The Gathering.
  3. Went to Twickenham to watch England thrash Italy by 47 points to 17 in the 6-nations Rugby ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Nations_Championship). It was a really fine day out!
  4. Went to the Pittsburgh Auto Show today
  5. The website of the Philharmonie de Paris offers plenty of concerts to watch or listen online, some as live events which are later kept in their archives. There's not only classical music or performances by the Orchestre de Paris, but some jazz and pop. They've scheduled for March a show by David Bowie.
  6. I get all my concerts from dimeadozen.org. It's all audience taped, but some of it is really good. Not sure if that is what you are looking for though. And I'll totally second your love for The Gathering; however, I have not seen them live, so.... you suck

The second Titanium Seamaster Pro chronograph arrived today, and it's just right - I couldn't be happier with it. This seller spent $1,110 in Dec 2013 to have Omega fix it up and restore it, as it was in great need of repairs, and now it's like having a new watch. The dial is still original but looks great, and I have the remaining original parts to go with it. However, I can't see even a mad collector wanting to put the old hands, pushers, and crown back on. When exposed to the sunlight and then moved into the shadows, the luminous material on everything glows like it's electrified for a few minutes. The original dial's red triangular hour markers are only slightly faded to orange, but it looks good. Excuse the fingerprints in the photo.

Antigonish? Yesterday, upon the stair, I met a man who wasn't there. I Heard some bass that wasn't there He it wasn't there again today, I wish, I wish he'd it'd go away...
  9. One time, a long time ago I used to smoke and work retail. There was this cashier who would smoke like 5 packs of cigarettes a day. He was NOTORIOUS for bumming cigarettes off of others. I'm not saying I'm a saint, and I eventually took to buying PACKS of cigarettes for others to hold (no joke) to stop but this guy was a menace. So, at this job you got 2 10-minute breaks, one before lunch, one after. Pretty standard, I guess. This guy, the cashier would show up to work early, CHAINSMOKE like 4 or 5 cigarettes, and then take the absolute first 10-minute break. He would regularly smoke 2 cigarettes in 10 min, and could probably do 3 if nobody was looking. Anything he could do to get another cigarette - he was on it. Need someone to gather shopping carts when its like 50 degrees below zero, and windy as fuck - he would be happy to go. Anyways. One day, I'm out there having my lunch, sitting on a fire-exit, having a Marlboro Red cigarette and lunch with one of my other co-workers. And, wouldn't you know it but this guy walks over and asks "what you smkoking" Just like that while holding a pack of (some green who knows whats) and we tell him "Marlboro Reds" to which he replies, in one single breath: "Uggh, Reds? Those are disgusting! Can I have one?" Yea, we gave him a cigarette. The story above about someone telling you your shit is fake, and in the same breath asking to buy is made me think of this. I apologize for not being as good of a story teller as Alex.
  10. Thanks Nate! If you had not suggested the Sprint St I most likely would have missed it. Put in an offer, haggled a bit and will be the proud owner of the Red 2006 Triumph I posted the photo of. Really looking forward to riding again after being away for the past 13 years. Haven't been this excited about any thing in a very long time.
