  1. And in Financial News Today, Brent had a extra Biscuit. Analysts are Pessimistic .
  2. Of course, if you spelled course with a u instead of an a in such situations, then you would be back on course and would sound much less coarse.
  3. Sorry to hear it, Larry. Awful stuff. I think you need a pain management specialist. Fibromyalgia and a serious injury from a MVA with continued significant pain which isn't controlled by usual pain treatments? Definitely, a pain management specialist.
  4. Gene is correct. The classic definition of a cocktail is a beverage with at least three ingredients, at least one of which is an alcoholic spirit. Traditionally, that meant a spirit, a liqueur, and a sweetener, or more generically a mixer of whatever kind. Back to the thread topic, although I didn't actually cook anything on this plate. I grew the tomatoes and basil and bought the mozzarella pearls, EVOO, salt and pepper. May add a bit of balsamic while eating.
  5. Earlier... Chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Thought it was all in bitcoin, platinum and ammo futures anyway?
  7. I'm not worried at all about mine. I'll probably die well before I can retire. Oh, just realized I think I had a biscuit on Friday. Oops. **BRENT**
  8. I'm not going to look at my account.
  9. Wow, haven't thought about that film in a while. Could be good segway to the new Westworld remake.
  10. seasoned and vacuum sealed the lamb shoulder to sous vide tomorrow.
  11. I was certainly talking to brent and not someone closer to retirement
  12. So it's all your fault! I planned to put some more money in the market on Friday but never got around to it. I might wait a few days... when are you planning to have biscuits again?
  13. you'll be fine. long event horizon til you retire. Just keep buying regularly and the dollar cost averaging will do you fine.
  14. Looks beautiful, but + olive oil and - balsamic.
  15. That's really rough, Larry... it's even hard to read, so I just can't imagine. Like everyone else, I really wish I knew what to say. Hope you get your pain meds sorted out soon.
  16. Garnish doesn't count even if you squeeze it, and counting ice would be dick-assinine! A G&T -- which can be garnished not at all or with things other than lime or lemon as the Brits would have it -- is not a cocktail in the traditional sense. A Dark & Stormy is a tougher call. Many recipes -- and perhaps Gene's own -- do not contain lime juice but do include a lime garnish. See above. But I would say that including lime juice is a better cocktail and therefore my recipe would meet the three ingredient requirement.
  17. a dark and stormy is definitely just goslings black seal and ginger beer.
  18. You are welcome anytime, Gene. Best part is I use a tomatillo based salsa to make the sauce so the pre-dinner chips and salsa are also quite good. Thanks to this place I also make a pretty mean margarita.
  19. Actually, I don't think the Pisco Sour ever went out of fashion in Peru or Chile, and nutmeg and dashes of bitters on the foam are standard for the drink. The fact that US bartenders make them properly can more accurately be traced back to Petraske and his influences.
  20. And a very special one right up Brent's alley.
  21. Some of the very good Audi turn out. And some others One for Brent And some for the VW crew.
  22. More scones. This time raspberry and chocolate chip. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

This was my father's daily wear since 1969 until he passed away. I don't wear it much. It's an alarm wristwatch. The button at 2 is the alarm on/off switch plus the quick day jump by pushing. The crown at 3 winds the alarm spring, adjusts hour and week day (no quick jump, you may need to turn the hands 12 times to get where you want to), and adjusts (first position) the alarm time which is displayed by the inner rotating bezel. Like many automatic Seiko of its time, you need to wear it to wind the movement for not having a manual winding position. It looks larger in the pic than it actually is at just 38mm, probably due to the light, my rather thin wrist, and the outer bezel/case being pretty slim too. It's been recently adjusted, there're no spare parts so when something breaks probably no chances to get it back working. It's going about +10 seconds/day on the winder, a bit less on my wrist. The pic doesn't really make it justice, the dial has this metal finish, so the center inside has a different reflection pattern than the ring delimited by the hour marks. I can't capture that without getting an annoying reflexion on the plexiglass glass. Maybe when I get a decent camera.

  25. True enough, but I really wanted to tap that bat as a tweener/young teen.
  26. Now with extra tech ...
  27. Gosh, I never thought you would be in the trade, but you're clearly a member.
